the absolute worst experience on delfruit
this game is the strangest, most illogical amalgamation of blocks, spikes and triggers. it's like the creator used only 3 objects to make a game, and TRIED to make the most unfun, unsatisfying, awkward and downright horrendous creation ever. not one thing in this game resembled fun, it was a painful and shitty experience through and through. I've said nothing specific so far, so let's begin with this: the transitions in the first 9 or so screens force you to beat them twice because of screen transitions - once you enter a new screen, you instantly die. the platforming itself reeks of age and lack of effort.
actually, I take that back - you HAVE to put in effort to make something like this. this game loves traps, by loves I mean traps are the essence of all gameplay within this game. I've played annoying trap games before, but they aren't as annoying because they're all fairly easy (30-50 diff at most). trap games are usually funny and have creative traps. even if they don't the traps can all be learned fairly easily and passed consistently. but in this fucking monstrosity? no, this game is genuine 70+ diff along with the cruelest traps I've ever seen. I would like to write a section about the lowlights of this game, but that would mean I would have to write about nearly every screen in the game, which I don't have the patience for (despite the fact I've cleared this crap).
extra is a complete joke. the most awkward cycles, traps, needle and trigger abuse. extra contains one of the weirdest needle saves I've ever done, requiring you to do something like the TAS fall (but harder) and then a bunch of inverts and a plane. another highlight of extra is one of the first screens, requiring you to savejump across half the screen to avoid an instagib trigger. how are you meant to figure this out? who the fuck knows, who the fuck cares. I know the game is old, but that's no excuse for its awfulness. I could go on for hours about how all of this makes no sense and is super super awful but I won't bore you with any more of it and I'll keep it short and sweet:
