I Wanna Be The Micromedley is a WarioWare inspired half adventure half medley game! It was my first major project and took about 6-7 months to complete. Each of the seven stages is themed differently, from gimmicks, to needle, to bosses. Give it a try, and let me know if you have any suggestions or find any bugs.
Enjoy!

A game which is heavily inspired by the classic Wario Ware games. Several stages with a gimmick unique to that stage as well as a boss stage at the end of each. Every segment in the game is well paced, and the perfect difficulty for how the game is laid out. It's got great production value, and good level design pretty much throughout. The boss stages are all different, interesting, and most importantly very fun! The only thing I could really see being an issue with some people, is the wait time in stages, if you're an impatient person, I'm pretty impatient myself but I was fine with it. There were also some bugs on release because the game maker file crashed, and I don't fully blame him for that (though he should have tested a couple of times through Kappa) but those bugs are mostly fixed now, and the game runs relatively smoothly!

Overall, I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get into fangames and have completed a couple, and even those who are very experienced, it's a very fun and original game, which is a nice breath of fresh air.

also, the fucking undertale memefight is 10/10

It's disappointing to see a game with so much potential be bogged down by unfriendly design. At its core, it feels like Micromedley is designed to waste the player's time. The challenges are poorly structured in order to make you die at the end several times. In addition, the game is filled with slow unskippable animations, and lacks the ability to instantly reset, which gets quite frustrating.

I do like the concept of the game, and large parts of it were fun. Going through the minigames was really cool, and for the most part felt appropriately easy and short. It's a lot of fun to do many segments in quick succession, having to react to each one quickly enough to complete it. This is best on display in the first 3 sections, particularly "delicious fruit", which has a variety of fast avoidances to figure out on the fly. The medley stages unfortunately deviate from this, making each minigame longer, which removes the enjoyable rush. The boss stage in particular feels way more learny than reactable, causing some frustrating deaths late in a run due to things I just had to know.

My biggest issue is the boss challenges, most notably the ones for delicious fruit and boss medley. The bosses are designed to be much longer, harder, and more learny than the preceding stages. It's really frustrating to have to repeat the entire long challenge multiple times because you died on the hard to figure out targets section, which has four sections checkpointless, and some annoyingly tricky maneuvers on the final section. The boss medley ends with an entire boss, which has a lot of learny attacks, such as stuff coming from the edge or bottom of the screen, which will kill you if you don't already know its coming. It felt like I was forced to do the entire challenge several times just to learn the final boss. I think these challenges would be much improved by being way more first-tryable.

One thing I really liked was the quiz stage at the end of remix. I thought this was exactly what the boss challenges should be. It's easy to first try, easier than the preceding levels, and it's more focused on being a fun unique experience than something difficult. I also liked the final boss, with some caveats. The first section felt a bit too hard compared to the rest. Once again, it's annoying that the game lacks a fangame's typical instant restart, instead playing a second long fade out animation between each attempt. Finally, the timing on DJ Sray feels really weird to me, I felt like I had to hit buttons late for them to count. Despite this, it was still a cool fight and a good end to this game.

Overall, this game is so close to being good. It has a lot of fun sections, but they turn frustrating from late deaths and the slow pace of the game. I think the game really needs some QoL, such as skipping animations and quick restarting. In addition, rebalancing the bosses to be more sightreadable would do wonders. As is, I found the game a bit too frustrating to easily recommend. But if you can look past some of that, there's a lot of fun buried in here, so it could be worth a play.

The final boss sucks. Made me lost all hope I had with the game before. It's long and boring. The SRay avoidance kept lagging everytime on stream so it was near impossible to beat because of the flashy visuals which eat up a lot of memory.

Not for me but there's still some fun found in it.

My last review was extremely salty and I'm surprised it didn't get removed. Anyway, I guess I have to do a proper review to explain why I don't like this game.
The game takes the concept of wario ware games, with stages that feel like minigames. It sounds good but in fact it was more frustrating than funny for me.
-The first problem is the difficulty of the game: when I think wario ware minigames, I think about easy to take in hand, instinctive and quick screens and that's not exactly what the game offers. Even if the majority of the screens are beginner friendly, a lot of them are also easily chockable because of the time limite. I ended up dying a lot because I didn't want to run out of time.
-The second problem is the not instant replay: you have 4 lives for each stages and you must complete 15 levels plus a boss level. It happened sometimes that I died on the first level so I of course wanted to reset the stage BUT there is an small animation between each level where you cannot do anything. It sounds not important but that small amount of time became quickly annoying when, for the 10th time, I chock on the first level because I wanted to go fast. It's also the same for the game over: once you run out of lives, there is a short game over animation follow by a long time where you are tp at the hub of stages.
-The third problem comes with the stage sthemselves: the first (gimmick) and second (delfruits) stages are pretty good (even if my complain about chocking levels is highly true for the boss level of stage 2). Stage 3 (plateforming) is mostly meh, with a lot of non-instersting screens, the boss level is however good. When stage 4 (plateforming medley) comes up i was like "oh that's an interesting utilisation of medley", but it was in fact the worst area of the game with a very poor selection of screen. Stage 5 (boss medley) was the best stage of the game, with a good selection of bosses and a good original one for the boss level, my only complain is that it's really difficult to first try it (see the first problem). Stage 6 (remix 1)...exists I guess, it's a medley of the previous stages and I don't unserstand its being.
-The fourth problem is the final boss: it's too much. Too much colors and too much particles. If you don't have played the game you are probably thinking that I'm crazy to complain about that, but rainbow flashy projectiles with rainbow flashy particles on a rainbow background and a flashy boss wasn't a good idea at all. It's sometimes very difficult to see them and i ended up dying on invisble profectiles a lot of times. Then, the boss has 4 phases with a autosave between each of them BUT if you close the game, you will have to start from the beginning, and that's not normal to have that kind of problem. And finally, a huge part of the boss is against kill the guy bosses, and just why? If I want to fight specificaly kill the guy bosses, I'm gonna play kill the guy and not another game which makes worse version of them. Finally the r button doesn't work, the game make you respawn by himself but it means that it's longer than if you could just press r (because there is a small animation of course) and because p also doesn't work, you cannot have a pause.
-And the last problem is: the game is bugged af. It mostly true for the final boss, actually I had "only" one bug on the stages which is, at the beginning of some levels there is a momentum where you can move but not jump and it's really annoying. Now it time for the funny part, the final boss. Let's start with the biggest bullshit I have seen in a game, the DJ Sray part: nothing goes right in, controles are totally not responding, sometimes you will do the right commands and you will die, sometimes the opposite, everything is bugged in this part. Then some bullets hitbox are broken, mostly boshy's. And finally I died in the last phase of the boss and the game instant crashed forcing me to start from the beginning.

The game is maybe full of good ideas but I clearly cannot recommend it. All the game isn't bad but it's really full of problems.
