A relatively fun and quite long adventure game with a lot of variety and 2 not very fun bosses. There is sudoku-tier platforming and a serious lack of production value in some of the main stages, but there are also several pretty fun parts. One stage changed the framerate of the game which was hilariously bad at first but then turned actually interesting with some cool platforming.
Beautiful World works similarly to "I Wanna Go Across The Rainbow" in that it has a semi-clear screen followed by a proper clear screen upon getting all secrets and beating an extra needle stage and a few bosses. Past the semi-clear, the game gets more difficult and has annoying parts but also plenty of fun segments. The portal room takes you directly to each screen that has a secret item which makes secret hunting actually enjoyable. It also allows you to warp back to the portal room after getting most of the items without needing to backtrack (like you can in Go Across The Rainbow). The true final boss was quite irritating because phase 1 had a health bar that basically doesn't matter at all. You only need to do 10 damage to advance to phase 2, but there is no indication of that.
The extra stages were pretty fun but also had some annoying sections like a Japanese quiz area where you actually need to type a couple answers in Japanese. The extra boss, however, was way too long and had a few gross attacks where it reverses your controls.
I would recommend at least reaching the portal room, but beyond that is a little iffy. For me, the bad parts outweigh the good parts, but there is still plenty to enjoy from there if you can push through the not-so-great sections.
