update: added easy mode so more people can play. normal mode is the intended way to play, but feel free to try easy mode if normal's giving you trouble.

Rating based on easy mode

I must say, the ambience and the art style is really good, it really conveys a feeling of uneasiness and it's executed quite well

Now that said... I can't really say the same for the gameplay, which I found to be a really poor and frustrating one

The first gimmick has something neat going on but is ruined by the fact you have ice momentum, I couldn't bear it and had to switch to easy mode and then could enjoy the gimmick
The second gimmick is something really not special, just touching the cherries with a circle around you and that's all
The final gimmick is just RNG and activating each platform, which is... no, I really don't get how this could be fun

I don't really know if I'd recommend, it's not a bad game but I just didn't find much enjoyment in it

Based on Easy Mode: There are great gimmicks within that make the gameplay feel unique, and there is emotion within that resonates especially in a time when people may feel more alone than ever before. I wouldn't expect any fangame to have any sort of "deep meaning" within it, but this is one that certainly does. The irony of it all is that despite the theme, there is this sense of beauty. To be able to combine both interesting mechanics with the tone that is presented, it is a remarkable accomplishment.

With this said, I highly recommend playing this when you are of a calm mind, the subject matter within is of a serious nature, but not one I believe should be spoiled either. This is, all in all, a work of art.

Side note, this may not be appropriate for streaming depending on your audience, I would recommend giving them a trigger warning notice beforehand.

Wonderful artistic gimmick game with some very unique gimmicks that are executed very well. It is also very strong in it's themes and has a general depressing and haunting tone throughout the experience. My only real issue is that it wasn't longer and that the final section is a bit too hard. Would definetly recommend, but keep in mind that this does contain content that some might find uncomfortable.

This game made me cry. Extremely good in its ideas and the messages it communicates.

Was not that keen on this one. I liked the visuals and creativity on display and I enjoyed some sections, but other parts left something to be desired.

The indie horror game trope of "happy zone suddenly becomes grimdark" I feel is pretty cliché at this point and I wasn't particularly impressed with the intro. The first section balancing on the blocks with weird slippy physics was fun. The controls took a little getting used to, but it was pretty straight forward after that. The "avoidance" section was alright, I just didn't particularly enjoy it and I felt some RNG patterns were much more favourable to getting a good score than others (the use of static is another horror cliché indie games use but I don't mind because I think static looks cool :^]). I was not a fan of the final section. The directions the fruit travel is RNG and that's a real problem when you get close to their spawn point and when a bunch just so happen to be travelling to where you want to go. I understand the metaphor of the kid using razor blades to jump around, but it's hard for me to take it seriously when I'm playing as a kid in a super hero getup dodging oversized fruit. Maybe I'm just not in the right mindset for this game idk.

Either I'm missing something or this game is, because I don't really get the hype. Either way, this game doesn't seem like it's for me but I can still give credit where it is due since I can still tell some soul went into making it.
