This game is so unique, it almost doesn't even qualify as a fangame anymore. The level of quality and production value in this fangame, as well as its super interesting and unique mechanics and ideas make this one superb game to play. The ability to pick up each stage fresh and get only what you feel comfortable with getting until you reach 700 coins for clear is amazing, and adds a layer of replayability that many fangames have. Going for 100% is incredibly satisfying as well, lots of fairly difficult levels with some pretty challenging platforming at times. Other than some minor nitpicks, specifically on some of the later levels for feeling either too out-of-place difficulty wise or some rather small choices on how to guide the player, this game is pretty much perfect. If Den released this game on steam right now, I would pay money for this. It's worth it for the sheer level of quality you are getting.

A beautiful fangame that well deserves the award of "Adventure Game of the Year" within 2021. Coinstack manages to be a riveting journey that can be both entertaining and challenging to fangamers of all types, because it relies heavily on a movement system you've never experienced truly like this. Between the wall-jumping and the dashing, it manages to be a completely different feeling.

I do feel like it is worth mentioning as well that the difficulty significantly varies throughout the game, with even Any% requiring a somewhat strong amount of effort to finish. By the time you reach the third stage, your progress pace will be vastly slower than it is before. Be warned that 100% requires mastery over the game's mechanics, because it very difficult and has a lot of stuff going on in the extra levels. (This rating is based on Any%). If I had any complaint, I do think there could be maybe another stage before the one with warps, because it did seem like a much greater gap in difficulty than the two stages earlier.

I greatly enjoyed this, and really hope to see a sequel or fangames of it that implement even more gimmicks and unique twists. Highly Recommended.

Difficulty based on any% clear, but I do intend to grind the 100% clear someday
Only rough part is that the difficulty spikes noticeably around floor 30, but fortunately that's about enough coins for any% clear so you only have to grind the last 10 floors if you're aiming for 100%

Rating based on the first 35 levels and on a fair attempt of the rest, difficulty is based on normal clear. Rating is also based on version 1.01, purely because I made multiple break for this game but never updated it because I didn't know that it was updated so many times.

A game hard to put in a box because it's not really an adventure game nor a needle game. Coinstack is a platformer with a dash and wall jump gimmicks where you have to collect 25 coins in each level that gradually become harder, the beginning being a walk in a park and the late game being super precise, but I'll talk about it later.

Production is quite high, probably in the top 5 you can find in fangames and it really helps the game to be more memorable and unique, either in visuals, sound effects or visual effects. The platforming is excellent from the beginning to around half, clearly one of my best platforming experience. However, from half of the game I started to enjoy it less and less each stage to a point I wasn't enjoying it anymore near the end because it was becoming too tight and precise for me. It's not bad at all, but the lack of leniency the early stages had made the late game too tedious for me.

That said, I really enjoy becoming more and more consistent in each level and I would easily recommend any% to everyone.
