As many fangame collaborations tend to be, this is a big mixed bag. The main hub is divided into sections each with a certain number of stages. To get to the next section you must complete a certain number of stages within the section before it. For most of the game this is pretty reasonable, although there are some exceptions. I was not a fan of the large needle section that requires 6 clears to progress, usually you get more variety on what genre you can pick. Of course, the beginning sections contain a lot of sudoku compared to other genres, but most of those stages are easy enough its not much of a problem. The much bigger offenders are the bosses (which are not always actual boss stages). Each one is required to pass to the next section, although with stage 6 you actually get 2 paths each with a different boss, meaning you must clear them to move on. Boss 1 is a meme fight that isn't much of an issue. Boss 2 is a fun and challenging sphere gimmick which I enjoyed a lot. Boss 3 gave me more trouble than I'd like to admit, it's a pretty good fight, but the high hp make screws ups devastating. I did not like boss 4, avoiding the various patterns through the GB stage with no checkpoints (until the avoidance) was frustrating, and the avoidance was not very fun, being essentially one insta-gib after another (thankfully it's pretty short). Not that difficult overall I guess, but its nature can be pretty discouraging. Both Boss 5 and Boss 7 are fantastic homages to other games, 5 is pretty challenging but I really enjoyed playing through it while 7 was a rather relaxing cakewalk. Boss 6 is split between 2 separate avoidances. I only completed p00ks' avoidance, but I must say I was not a big fan of either of them (I'm not a big fan of avoidances in general, long, stressful, and no savepoints). This brings me to the final boss: Cthaere's avoidance, which I also didn't like for much of the same reasons. You are given HP, and clearly a lot of work was put into making the visuals look cool, but I ultimately still found the avoidance a chore to grind.
The appeal of this collab, in my opinion, is seeing what the next stage has in store for you. It's almost impossible to predict what the shtick of the next screen will be. If you're willing to play through a few things you may not like then I think this collab is worth a shot.
Diffculty rating is based on what I think is the minimum required to clear the main hub. Many stages are much lower in difficulty, and there are also some stages with higher difficulty not required for the clear.

GBC could very well be the most entertaining fangame I've ever played. The premise of the game is something very simple but extremely addicting, that being that all 127 stages are based on the same iconic screen from GB. I think stuff like this is naturally interesting to me, I'm a huge fan of reimagining stuff and references, so this game definitely scratches that part of my brain, but it helps that the content is great.
So many makers in this game provided some really interesting content, not every stage is gonna be a hit with you, I have two in particular I don't like, but with over 100 stages you are going to find something cool, especially as the game progresses and the ideas get wilder and more in depth. Some stages that stand out are Kiyoshi, Welowas, and Quasiatry, but there's a LOT of highlights. There's also a very robust extra stage with some cool stuff in it, albeit with a lot of the more unhinged concepts.
If you go for 100% you'll see some of the more brutal moments of the game, some stuff is truly diabolical like p00ks fast paced barrage avoidance, and the infamous JGB achievement. With that being said, I enjoyed basically all of this stuff, and a lot of the achievements are extremely cool like the one's in Welo's stage or getting a score of 100 in Kiyoshi's extra. It's absolutely not gonna be for everyone but for my money, 100% is a lovely experience.
I walked away from this game incredibly impressed, this is a contender for the most fun I've had playing a fangame and has cemented itself in my mind as a pillar of the community and a wonderful achievement that it exists in the first place. I truly, adore this game, and wish I played it much sooner than I did. It's a must play, even if you don't finish it.
