Really fun adventure game with Wonderful's renowned style. The first half of the game is awesome, being structured like a metroidvania where you gain new abilities. The platforming is fun, the explorative feel is great, and the bosses are quick and cute. The second half unfortunately is a bit worse. The platforming is still awesome, but the bosses suffer, and the metroidvania aspect is removed. The left boss is cool, it just has a bit too much health imo. The bottom boss is the easiest, and also really boring since it only has one attack. The right boss is the real stinker, it's a big kid fight with weird momentum water physics. Aside from being long and repetitive like all big kid fights, the water physics are super awkward and hard to get a handle on. The final boss is really cool, although the second part is a bit too precise. The final phase is epic though. Overall, this is a great game oozing with charm and nostalgia, and the awkwardness of some bosses isn't enough to detract from that.

An easier wonderful style adventure game with a lot of short stages with neat concepts and fun variety.

Production is very much what you'd expect from a wonderful game, a lot of recolored guy tiles and small subtleties that give it personality without going big.

The platforming is really neat, and even though stages are short they never fail to establish an identity which is something I love seeing.

Bosses are similarly interesting - focusing on simpler attacks but with each of them having different ways of interacting with them, a style I'm personally very fond of.

Overall, its a great easier adventure game, but while the bosses are not especially hard, they tend to be quite long and as such, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to a beginner (unless you don't struggle with consistency/length in segments, though I feel that'd be the exception). However, anyone who likes adventure games and is looking for something on the shorter side, this is worth your time.

Pretty solid adventure game that is split into two halves of which I prefer the first. There's a bit of gimmick usage and neat boss fights that make it worth playing alongside some of wonderful's tradition feel.

It starts with an open area in which you need to go fight three bosses in order to obtain their items to progress, and whilst it is linear there's neat platforming designed to account for both having and not having the necessary item for them so you can backtrack in a new way when needed. The ice gun gimmick is pretty cool in the way it gets used, but the water gimmick was rather awkward to play and not something I'd desire to see again. The bosses in this area are pretty neat yet simple, most people probably won't struggle on them.

The second half involves an additional hub with stages and then the final stage, and it loses a bit of the magic touch of the first part since it's just three different areas that don't intermingle. The platforming here is a bit more unique though, with one section even having a bit of a push block puzzle going on. Now of the bosses here 2 of them became quite a drag to play, that being the bosses to the left and right. I really thought the boss to the left was a bit boring since it was like 3 attacks and a load of health, but I do respect the references to Justice in it. Now the boss to the right was awkward as hell to fight, it uses the weird water and whilst you can beat it with or without the gimmick it definitely felt jank. Final boss was pretty interesting, though I'll immediately say the last segment of phase 2 seemed a bit too RNG for having a tight timing.

Overall, I found the first half extremely fun, and still enjoyed most of the second, so I would definitely recommend this to people. It reminds me quite a lot of wonderful's old game Be Friends, enough so that it almost works like a sequel.

Wonderful has absolutely cemented herself as one of my favorite makers, possibly my favorite western maker. Power easily shows what makes her style so addicting to me, a combination of brilliant platforming design, with good fundamentals when it comes to just making fun and interesting jumps, combined with simple but enjoyable boss fights. This game is like a little metroidvania, with an open hub where you get powerups to explore new places. After the beginning it turns into a more traditional adventure game, but the quality is always there. The final boss is awesome, and the story is adorable. It's just a total banger, and it's also short, which means if you haven't played it, it's very easy to pick up and enjoy for a bit. Definitely one of my favorites.
