This game reminds me of kinder surprise eggs.

Each new stage resembles the moments after opening the toy capsule, followed by the assembly of the aforementioned toy (the learning process).

You may not enjoy all of the toys, but you keep coming back for more. Feeling like a kid once more.

Exactly what you would expect from a sequel to Burnmind but with a scope that genuinely surprised me, Freezemind is a truly excellent sequel. I give all these want-likes 10/10s but it's truly because I think they are irreplaceable distinct experiences that feel like a special event to play, as exhausting as they can be. There were a lot of really fun gimmicks in this one, the platforming is notably quite strong and interesting to play, also I really love the visuals and music in this game, absolutely top notch. I really really love this game.

Freezemind is another Adventure game from Erik focused on experimental gimmicks and visual styles, and a great follow-up to its predecessor Burnmind by being an even more extravagant piece.

Like the former game, Freezemind offers unique gimmicks you have never seen before and then applies them to a short stage that usually isn't more than a few saves. They are often matched by visual challenges some people might dislike, but a lot of it I found to be relatively cool and fresh for a fangame. I'd also like to mention that I greatly enjoy the new features of this game as well, such as the guest stages, a stage selection after clearing, and a really cool final stage. The bosses are also really cool in the game too, with the last showdown being particularly memorable and climatic.

Overall, I do truly think it's a masterpiece, and would thoroughly recommend it if you can handle visual challenges. Be warned that it is definitely harder than Burnmind though.

An incredible sequel to one of my favorite games. It's not perfect, in fact there was one specific gimmick I kinda loathed, but I was having peak enjoyment for the vast majority of the game so it would feel disingenuous to give it a lower rating.

Freezemind feels like you're playing a bunch of short games, each with different controls and aesthetics. It has incredible creativity, super fun boundry pushing gimmicks, a banger soundtrack, and of course the jaw dropping visuals Burnmind was known for. I can understand intellectually that this game is not for everyone, but I had such an incredible time playing it I refuse to say any thing except "I recommend this game to everyone ever". I don't want to sully the experience by putting any of the gimmicks to words. I love this game.
