Hi! This is my secret santa game for PrinceOfLight. It was originally released anonymously, which is why it acts like you don't know I made it. The game has been updated with a simple controls mode, balance changes, and bugfixes.

Sort of a boss-rush type deal, the primary gimmick is your method of attack being changed to a spear which is quite unwieldy, although getting used to it is a fun challenge. The final boss is super cool and a great conclusion to the whole thing! The stuff before almost feels like a tutorial, although a much needed one. Very fun!

Insanely fun game that has a different shooting mechanic than usual. You're a soldier that throws your spear to kill enemies, having to charge and aim it as well. It's got a bit of story going on and the first few encounters prepare you to take the final boss pretty well.

A simple game where I fight bosses with slightly quirky controls.
I struggled with it because I had to aim and charge separately.
The endless ghost enemy that remain can be very difficult to avoid depending on the next attack...

This is a short action-adventure game, featuring a very unique shooting mechanic not really seen anywhere else. You are a medieval soldier, and instead of shooting a gun, you have to wind up and throw your spear to attack enemies. Aiming it can be pretty challenging, especially if multiple enemies are on the screen, but it's quite fun once you get used to it. The screens themselves consist of a few arenas of enemies, followed by a pretty hard boss that requires you to have mastered the mechanic.
The visuals are mostly simple but work pretty well, with some original sprites for the enemies and the bosses. There is also a dialogue system used for the little bits of "story" going on.
Overall, I really like the concept, and I would love to see it expanded even further in a later release one day.
