A Love Live-themed fangame created for the I Wanna Twourney, released as part of Week 8 (alongside I Wanna Conquer the Flow Game 2). Either my first or second adventure game release (depending on if you think Soothe the Shroom counts), featuring numerous stages and bosses revolving around the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club.
As of this writing, the public release is identical to the Twourney release, but there are plans to smooth out the game's rougher spots, a la 724-ish's Adjusted Mode. This review will be updated when that has been implemented.

Rainbow Carnival really captures the vibe of old adventure games, while managing to modernize the design and stay fresh. The gimmicks are relatively simple, but they're used well in conjunction with some cycles, to make the game feel unique.
The theming is a great addition, the music and backgrounds are really cute and it helps this game stand out a lot. I appreciate how it makes every boss a multi-boss, and the game is good at using that formula to make fun bosses.
Overall, the game has a lot of charm. It really does feel like a refined version of a classic game. I had a ton of fun the whole way through. The difficulty stays remarkably consistent, even as the game mixes long and shorter saves. This is an easy recommendation for fans of well made simple adventure games.

Old-school platforming with ayaya visuals, 4 gimmick/needle stages with a boss at the end of each, plus a final recap stage and a final boss. The only big nitpick I have is the final boss having a lot of iframes, but on the other hand it's a really cool boss that will test your reading and decision-making.
Yes, Soothe the Shroom counts. I like Rainbow Carnival more, though. ;p
Recommended for, well not beginners beginners, but as a harder challenge for beginners with some of the easier adventures on their clear list.

A pleasant adventure game with cute bosses from love live. The gimmicks for each of the stages were pretty good. I'd hope the final boss would have been an avoidance but it was still a good fight. Wonderful game overall 10/10.

Everything in this game feels very mediocre with no outstanding design. It doesn't bring me any sense of surprise from beginning to end. There are gimmicks but they just exist imo and I almost fall asleep while playing.
The saves are pretty lengthy but okay overall. The bosses are all mixes of common attacks that I have seen multiple times before. The final attack of the final boss is way too hard compared to any attack in the game. It forces you to go through the four easy and boring attacks every time only to get to the final attack, which is very frustrating.
Would not recommend.
