Short game from 19/09/2013, released on axfc, consisting from just 1 boss. It is based on Japanese pop culture, so for those who have no ideas what is the original reference, this game will look extremely bizarre. I mean, you literally see how some man's nose hair is attacking you. Like, ew.
And the gameplay itself does not compliment much. Everything is in Japanese, and the boss does have quite a bit of HP, although you have several options on how to shoot the boss. I recommend moving in circles for the optimal damage. It will take boss much easier and much shorter. I initially have beaten only by standing down and shooting to the spike, and it is much harder. The hair does not instantly kill you. It is a weird mix of RNG and aiming, and you have plenty of time to stay on the upper platforms and do significant damage. However, after you beat the boss, you are still in the same room, just that you have additional Japanese text. All you can do then is to die to the spike.
Now, I do not know Japanese and I cannot fully understand what the author tried even to write, so I had to ask AI to transcribe and to give approximate translation. For what I can understand, the loading screen does tell you that it is possible to check the audio volume, and in the end you get 'Congratulations' text shown.
As for the rest, here is what you need to know:
- The game's title 'I wanna be the BBB-B・B-BB' is not accidental. It is based on the source material for this game 'ボボボーボ・ボーボボ' - manga and anime series, that in English is called 'Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo'. In this series you have a main character that fights with his nose hair. Yes, it is bizarre, but you can read more about these series here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobobo-bo_Bo-bobo.
- The game's song might seem weird, but it is actually Opening 2 from the anime, that I mentioned before. The song's title is 'Baka Survivor'.
- The game's readme is very odd. The original text is as following:
'ネタ3発目
悪ふざけがすぎた王
さーせん
ボツにした気持ちでいっぱいです'
I could not understand even with translator the meaning, because it does use slang terms. I will just leave what the AI gave me when I asked about this Readme:
'Summary:
The reviewer (likely the creator themselves or someone being playful) is jokingly reflecting on their own game. They’re saying:
"Here’s the third joke [game]. I (the king) took the joke way too far. Sorry! Honestly, I feel like this should’ve been scrapped."
The tone is comedic and self-deprecating, fitting the absurd and over-the-top style of games that parody anime like Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo or troll-platformers like I Wanna Be the Guy.'
Now AI thinks that probably there were 3 joke games in total, but I am not sure if it is actually the case, and if it is, then I am not fully sure what were the series.
I initially wanted to give this game like low 2 rating and high 20s difficulty. But then I have re-beaten the game, and now I kind of appreciate this game a bit more, and it is much easier if you do not stay just at the bottom of the screen.
This game still does not provide much, and even to appreciate it even a little bit, you need to make a little bit of research, if you are not manga or anime expert.
It is whimsical, and definitely not something you will see often. But it is still a bit of a lazy game, and can be a bit boring with the high amount of given HP.
Not the worst thing ever, but definitely far from being the best.
As for the difficulty, I might be a bit underrating after my 2nd clear, so I do not know.
Would not recommend, anyway.

defiant-like precision game with some fairly fun ideas with common jumps. the difficulty balance is as per usual all over the place with these games, but that’s kinda what makes them interesting. water sphincter save was the hardest and the final save is somewhere around there too. not very grindy and actually has surprisingly interesting setups for some of the jumps. there’s a bit of a reliance on common/generic jumps, but the readme states the game was made in less than an hour. whether that’s some game-making efficiency to be proud of or a product of a self-imposed time constraint I can’t tell, but the resulting game isn’t that bad

Someone new is coming to threatening to take away the kid's guy title, will he be able to beat him in a needle challenge and stop him?
Stupid movie yepdle that does the bare minimum, even for yep standards.
No random ass movie music from x-men that loops throughout the game and only gets cut off by the clear screen, nothing.
Anyhow, about the game. Simple enough needle screen with a couple of tight jumps that require an align, made a little harder by the visual challenge that consists of the kid's sprite being just a little darker than the background. If you have a decent eyesight this shoulnt be much of a problem for you.
Not reccomended. Better yeps to be had out there.

For: I wanna be the Net-C
For: I wanna be the Net-C
while there’s nothing I concretely dislike about this game, my lower-than-usual rating of it is justified solely due to a poor personal experience with the game. Net-C is essentially a Miku avoidance that has looping attacks that get harder and harder over time. the song is pretty catchy and good and actually makes up for the subsequent boredom you’ll feel playing this avoidance. it’s quite long and dying anywhere past cycle 1 feels like a huge waste. notice how I’d rather call it ‘cycle’ rather than ‘chorus’, since that’s what it is — a near-identical cycle. the only thing that changes between the two cycles is that in the second one, there’s slow random(360) coming from Miku’s hand. it’s lazy avoidance design, but it isn’t actually too unfun. only issue being that it gets stale after dying 3+ minutes in. however, there’s only one area that I’d call not great by virtue of bad/unfun attacks, and that’s the ending. the ending has some weird attacks that logistically don’t make much sense to put at the end of an avoidance this long. I died to this ending many times, likely over 10, hence why I had a relatively negative personal experience with this game
