A solid improvement from the maker's first game. This one incorporates some engine gimmicks, which makes it stand out a lot more. In addition, the needle was generally more interesting. I really liked the screen with all the jump stars, and the later screen with single jump. Unfortunately, the game is really dragged down by the green screen, which is significantly harder and made up of less interesting jumps. It's a shame, because I really really like the idea of a screen following a single river of water. It's unique and stands out a lot visually. But the needle itself is too hard for this game, and features several unpleasantly precise moments and low jumps.
I was really impressed by how much better this game felt than the developer's first. I'm glad they're experimenting more with gimmicks, it makes the game far more interesting. I hope they continue to lean into the gimmicks, while also taking a step back and focusing on easier needle for a while.

For: I wanna Evolve my Eevee to Sylveon (Secret Santa 2024)
A short game with 2 one screen paths. The needle is pretty basic, with only a couple jtool gimmicks, but the jumps all feel good, and it felt like more thought went into them than just spamming named jumps. The real highlight of the game is the theming. Having cute little pokemon running around, and having my own pet, made the game feel a lot more interesting.
