Prototype avoidance game made by Kyir to advertise 'I Wanna Defy the Director', which never got finished, despite still being published in an unfinished form on IWC forums long time ago. I have never checked if this avoidance is present there, though.

This avoidance has Undertale music and you have 1 extra HP in your disposal. It has pretty cool aesthetics, but you also will notice that this is not your standard avoidance. I have heard in the past several people not wanting to count this avoidance as an avoidance, but rather a boss, which happens to be an avoidance. And the reasoning is quite simple - attacks are not necessarily timed in the best manner to the music.

But I would not call it as a big drawback. You still have to endure a certain amount of time (which still makes it an avoidance for me), and lack of proper music timing is not an issue for me. I still think that this music was fitting to what was happening here.

I liked different usage of sprites that looked both visually appealing and both making gameplay feel more vibrant.

The fact that you have indicators thrown around was also a pretty cool touch. My only confusion was that on the 2nd part of the avoidance I forgot that indicators are located above the ground, so you can actually stay on the ground.

As for gameplay, I personally found it to be fun, despite being obviously very simple. It is mostly pattern-based, but you do have aiming attacks and HP helps learning stuff faster.

Since we will never have the full adventure game, I think it is better to perceive this as its own thing. It is still a prototype, but it is a good thing to give for beginners, and is fun to play even for those who are more seasoned in avoidances.

Give it a try.
