It's ok, a bit jarring visually with all the red.

Nothing crazy, pretty subpar actually, but this game has soul and rudiments of something good. Considering nature of this game being unfinished, i can accept that. Avoidance is quite dooky, but it's not generic and has weird charm. I liked my experience overall

Incredible game held back by a few big issues.
(also I looked up the requirements for each part and heavily relied on using videos to help see how to do some of the patterns).
"I Wanna In The Backroom" is an extremely high production value avoidance with really unique attacks and a really good song. It also gives you 9 hp, which is exceptionally generous and was the only reason I could beat this fight. I can't recommend this game enough, but it definitely has some weak points which really hold it back.
The maze is terrible. At the start of the game (and if you get any of the bad endings) you are forced to do this maze thing with it being super unclear what is ground and what's a wall. It isn't fun at all, and is completely out of place production value wise. I think its interesting to have exploring the maze give you hints, but for that to work the maze would have to be fun. Which it isn't.
I 100% agree with what Nick said about having to beat the first part in less than 3 hits. The first pattern section (the part with the really narrow xs and other stuff) is by far the hardest part of the fight, and the fact that you aren't even allowed to practice the rest of the fight if you haven't mastered that part yet seems really mean. Even if you were given one extra hit I think it would be fine, or if there was a built in practice tool. Its one of those things that despite being at around the beginning, meaning you will practice it the most, I still would end up taking too many hits even in the attempts leading up to me clearing it.
Finally, (and this could be a skill issue) I hate the cherries that spawn vertical beams. Using a clear video, I timed how many frames it took for the cherry to appear, and then for it to fire. It took 10 frames for the cherry to show up and summon its beam (removing paused frames because the game runs at 50fps compared to the video which ran at 60fps). This is faster than the average human reaction time (you need to react to the cherries in under 0.2 seconds unless I counted the frames wrong), and even if you do react, you might not be able to move out of the way in time. This is balanced around the fact that they usually don't hit you. because of how small they are compared to the screen. (also this is mainly for the ones during the red flower attacks near the beginning, the larger ones during the 2 player section give you much more time to react). This is an issue for obvious reasons, but you usually get lucky so it isn't a big deal and doesn't ruin the fight in any way.
Aside from those things though, this is an amazing avoidance that I really enjoyed. I am so thankful for the fact it gives you so much hp, it makes practicing and playing it so much easier. I highly recommend!

Good chill game aside of terrible Viridian boss, which has only annoying and uninteresting attacks. Other than that, it's good in simplistic way. Additional minus for not having final boss tho

Based on 100 % clear. Main game is fine even tho traps are kinda overwhelming and annoying sometimes. Extra boss is completely broken, which is funny, but not that funny if you wanna beat him. Anyways i had fun time, which is most valueable thing for me, so score is decently okay. Objectively it's way more ass simply because of EX boss factor

Short and fun! Definitely has quite a bit of variety, and it feels like a step up from $35 and 2 pennies despite being the same format. I also really like all of the unique costumes you can collect.
Highly recommend for those who like trap games, and is a good beginner game in general.

Fun game! I really like the idea of collecting items and hunting down achievements to become stronger, and it definitely makes this a really enjoyable game to play.
I do appreciate how it is quite beginner friendly as well.
The gameplay is a bit generic though, and some of the achievements require doing what I think are 2 frames which is never that fun. The achievements definitely are the highlight of the game.

Sequel to the first game. Beaten this avoidance first time in 2023 and now re-beaten it in 2025 as well.
Surprisingly, this is one of those cases where my opinion on avoidance did actual change for the better side. Originally, I did not appreciate this avoidance that much. It felt just slightly better than the original. However, now I actually had fun re-playing it, and appreciated a lot of small things here.
It feels like author got more ironic with the whole team, and just embraced the aesthetics that he had created. A lot of random details now felt as something bigger. You have the same design for the title screen ; you have slightly buffed diagonal jump before avoidance (which, originally, just felt like copy of Iruenn's style, but using diagonal jump instead of gate) ; the very end of avoidance does refer to someone to the community (originally it was Hosungryn, now it was Square), and, using quote, how you cannot really judge the game just by its title. And to add even more, the fact that this game uses 'Demonic Little Grey Cat Theme Phase 2', and even provides option to clear both original game and now this 2nd phase together as 1 avoidance, is such a cool idea conceptually, even if it is much harder and I would probably not have fun of replaying 'Another Bad Barrage' all over again. Oh, yeah, also author's ironic review is a cool addition to this whole game, not gonna lie.
And then the avoidance itself changes its colouring from neutral purple to active red, which fits a lot to the song. You get to the action real fast, and honestly even attacks are quite creative a lot of times, like the platform part or attack that sprays bullets above you but tracks your position. There were some meh attacks, like bouncing in the middle and in the end, but it was at least balanced in an interesting way.
Game is much harder than the first entry, so do not expect this to be easy. However, it is pretty fun to dodge these fast attacks, and trying to figure out how to survive in an optimal way.
Originally, I wanted to give 47 difficulty and 5.8 rating. Now as you can see, both numbers are higher. And I am glad that I have replayed this game.
Would recommend for those who want to play some slightly above average difficulty barrage.
