The stage on the left isn’t bad, but I don’t understand what the stage on the right is trying to.

Coming from playing SSR2, this is quite the step down. I know this is older than SSR2, but I still did not enjoy it due to how bad the misses where. The traps where the worst offender as they were basically "Haha you died! Do the save again." than contributing to the Needle.
There is good stuff as I see that Rukito was more experimental with the gimmicks and I can see potential in them if he honed more on them.
This game made me appreciate SSR2 much more as my first Rukito game as I was initially considering GR to be my first. But in retrospect it was a bad choice as I felt if I played the latter first, I likely won't like Rukito's games and Design as much.
