This feels like a game that's only 80 dif if you're ridiculously good at these games. I'm pretty sure I've cleared 80 dif avoidances and the only difference is that some attacks are just completely unfair here unless you're like a 95 dif avoidance player.
But onto the great parts I wanted to clear this because the visuals are amazing, what a beautiful avoidance and I'd love if all avoidances followed suit. The colors and the syncing on some specific areas were amazing and if just some attacks were balanced I might've rated this 10/10
Edit: CLEARED!!! After more than a year. Very Very hard and every section is a different method of reading with your eyes and movement and there are so many luck checks if you're not a 90 dif avoidance player. Just know that. Make sure to brute force the final 1 minute if so.

The screen transitions on the last stage bring down what is otherwise an excellent 32-pixel needle game.

This review is based on a 100% clear including extra, difficulty rating for any% is 81
I was pretty interested in trying this game because it's seemingly very divisive, some people give very high scores and others give very low scores. It's not hard to see why either, the game clearly takes quite a bit of inspiration from the crimson needle games and other similar games, and in particular the needle style feels akin to cn1 although with cn2's usage of jtool mechanics like platforms, vines, and water. I'm not a big fan of those, but in spite of that, I really dig this game. It's rather unhinged at time and the quality varies quite a bit, in particular I think the 2nd segment, floors 25-49, is rather weak, but beyond that I think the game picks up quite a bit and has some really fun and interesting saves with some creative jumps and segments. I really like seeing just how gross (/pos) some of the sections in this game can be, and it has a good variety of needle styles, most of which it executes well. In particular I thought floors 75-90 were very strong, but I also had a lot of fun with 91-100, with the exception of 94 which isn't my thing. Definitely can't universally recommend in spite of my high score, but I encourage people to give this game a chance because I dismissed it for a LONG time and when I got around to it, I found something I had lots of fun with.
Update after extra was added: I have very similar thoughts for this as the main game, just add 10 difficulty points basically. There's some pretty gross things but I also think there were some really cool saves, higher highs, lower lows I guess. If you enjoyed the main game then I do think you'd enjoy the extra, assuming you have the skill and endurance to take it on.
