One of the beautiful things about fangames is that, from a simple set of core ingredients, people are able to express so much of their own unique identity. The rapid-fire avoidance-platforming memescape that Randy's games explore feels so fresh to me every time I play it. In many ways it leans into things I am not generally fond of -- and yet it manages to be so compelling and fun. I think it's a real testament to Randy's aesthetic sensibilities that between the chaos and irony and joking, every so often something small and emotional peaks out -- the telephone across the screen at the close of final avoidance strikes me as one of those moments.
Now onto the negatives about this game -- the reviews. Most of them suck.

pretty fun. Definitely not 80 dif, first lucky game is harder in my opinion. A good barrage and DEFINITELY not complete luck at all, if youre skilled you can beat this game way way quicker than anyone else.

i dont know why this is collectively shit on. Has anyone looked at the hall of fame recently???? Very skill based, people are just bad if they say no and it's just a fun mindless barrage.

I wanna be the FA is a tribute game to the early era of fangames. No fancy visuals, crazy gimmicks with precise needle, or complex bosses with some production value. Just a plain simple adventure with different areas to go collect some boss items like in old times. Riding on a cart with "Crazy Taxi" music was a highlight for me.
The game ends with a medley of multiple fangame screens that ends with the Kid, who dies in one hit.
If you want to experience that classic adventure vibe, explore this nostalgic trip.

Some really great needle on display here aside from the yellow stage. It's fine but the corner is pretty awkward and the setup for it was really inconsistent to the point where I'm unsure if there even was a setup. Despite that, the gameplay is quite a step up from most of the stages in leave the garden, which is the other game I played from glitchy. Blue stage was my favorite and just a super fun cycle needle screen, red was pretty great as well. This game doesn't have much else going for it unfortunately because of its short length and reused visuals.
Still though, I look forward to what glitchy makes in the future because I have enjoyed what she's put out so far. BTW, if you like this game please check out leave the garden, it's very much so worth playing.
