I generally really love Klein's design sense in Butterfly and Emperor, and this feels like a beginner friendly version of what you get in those games, so of course I'm a fan.

Decent needle and boss followed by insanely hard RNG avoidance, that has cracked final attack. Can't say i didn't enjoy my time, but it would be definetily better if final wasn't that ridiculous and unfair at times. If you can stomach classic slow pace avoidance with bullshit at the end - might be your choice. If not - ... beware

Like Silver Tower, this is a pretty okay game but with a kind of bad final boss. I liked it more overall though.

Interestingly enough this game manages to be really fun and really boring at the same time. It’s genuinely fascinating the emotions this makes me feel. I wish I understood them better but yeah. This is a pretty badly designed boss that I enjoy a lot.

Easier fangame that primarily emphasizes cherry platforming and cycles. I found the cycles to be interesting without being too learny which is a balance I find difficult to strike with cycle needle. The game has some lovetrap inspiration and is really short, but there’s some really cool stuff here.

The boss fight is bad and the needle feels super strange. I know this is an easy mode but the nerfs make it feel like something is missing. Ichor is mostly notable because the easy mode is the only version of the game that is playable today. The original is considered lost media by this point and given its appearance in K3, it's essentially the holy grail of lost fangames. I do not think people would care that much otherwise though, as there isn't really anything *to* this game besides that.

I played this game because it's in K3 and for some reason I felt like playing stuff for the K3 Storm Peak Challenge. I think I'm moreso confused as to why this game is in there more than anything. It doesn't do anything wrong other than the last save on the right path, but it feels so forgettable in a way that other needle games from this period don't. Frankly it's possible I may have played and beat this but forgot to leave a review, and that is very funny to me.

Difficulty based on easy mode, no rating because I playtested most of it :)
Be warned that the last stage is a significant difficulty peak, despite its length. The booster gimmick is by far my favorite of the lot, the jump refresher sections and transition cheap shots on the catharsis stage my least. Overall it was a fun experience though, and I'm glad I persevered to the end. Would recommend to experienced players with a fair amount of patience and the mental fortitude not to tilt after choking long saves.
