Эта игра достойна куда большего внимания, чем ей уделено на фрукте. Я ожидал от такой старой адвенчуры спама трапов, рестартов музыки и банальной реализации основ. Но ничего подобного тут нет. Весь фангейм от начала до конца приятно играется, гиммик с вертушкой чуть сложноват, поэтому ставлю 45 сложности. Особенно хорош финальный босс. Всем любителям адвенчур рекомендую

This is A/S-tier gimmick needle. I especially felt that the pathing throughout the final "mega screen" was a stroke of legitimate genius. My only real complaint about the game has to do with the final boss being too easy. It wouldn't have been quite as noticeable of a flaw if the prior bosses were all even easier, but the final boss was noticeably easier than almost all of the others with the "top path" VVVVV boss being the most difficult of all of them. Besides that all I can say is that I wish it was a little longer. I'm sure a newer player taking this on might need to sink a lot of time into it, but for those with experience this can easily be tackled in 3 hours or less (I finished at 2:39:00) though it is fun enough to warrant a couple of extra playthroughs if you're the type to challenge yourself for better completion times. I got into Arzztt games pretty late compared to how long he has been making them as prior I mostly knew of him as the "the VVVVV guy", a gimmick I personally was not that fond of in the past, but after playing "Save My Boy" I've gained a lot of respect for his design and incredibly pathing sense and now I'm a certified fanboy. I hope Arzztt continues to make games and look forward to seeing what he puts out next.

A gimmick game based around a wide variety of gimmicky jump refreshers that are slowly added across each stage, topped with a final stage with single screens centered around a single gimmick jump refresher.
I like the visuals and tilesets, especially the final stage visuals.
The screen design is on average very good; there's several gimmicks like high gravity and slowdown, that could have been abused to force very precise jumps, but they're used judiciously for a great experience. The game also avoids the common pitfall of jump refresher chains with overly precise jump timings to keep height/momentum. There's a couple screen transition ambushes on stage 2, and a few saves with an unnecessarily hard needle jump right at the end or beginning of the save, which takes away from the gimmick gameplay (most notably last save of stage 2 and final stage purple screen first save).
Overall I enjoyed it a lot, it struck the right balance of gimmick, needle and grindiness. It's not my favorite of the pieceofcheese gimmick trilogy (Jungle Adventure is), but it's up there with them, albeit definitely the hardest of the three. Solid recommend for any experienced gimmick enjoyers!
