An homage to the Uhuhu games in terms of its 'pulses with the music' neon aesthetic, bouncy anime medley music, and unorthodox spike shapes. This one falls short of the mark for me compared to Peppermint Dandy specifically due to the (in my mind) glaring overusage of 16 pixel landings and jumps. It seems like at a certain point almost every other jump, or sometimes many in a row, involve 16px maneuvering, and while I find that can be enjoyable in small doses, it felt really exhausting over the course of a whole game with quite a few screens. In addition, the anime medley didn't do it for me—it sticks to the same instrument voice for every melody for almost the entire duration, and the snippets are so short that even the one or two songs I recognized were gone before I had a chance to enjoy them. A lot of the 'unorthodox' jumps boil down either to modified gates or 16px. And the drops in general are hard, but quite rewarding most of the time. There's almost always a way to shorten them in some fashion.

A fun-ish vanilla needle overall, but I'd recommend the originals or Galvanized Peppermint Dandy before this one.

n FTFA-like executed by one of my favorite makers in the community. It is very hard to describe the experience of this game. It was spiritual, in a way. The music is very ambient but not in a haunting way, tho it has an ethereal quality. The loop is short and the gameplay sections are perfectly polished and honed to represent an homage to the original source material. I am not good enough to play FTFA, but when I see others play it, and can sense the palpable tension and relief it creates in them, this game feels like that. It feels very compact and beautiful. I recommend it to everyone.

A minimalistic needle game usually with two saves per screen. Simple atmospheric music on a short loop, custom jump and death noises that fit the somewhat arrested mood, and visuals that draw the eye but don't make the platforming unnecessarily confusing. Only ran into a few fuzzy pathing issues later on, and those are mostly because I am dumb. A great showcase of polished design in the intermediate needle format, with minor implementation of platform boost jumps in a few places.
