Really long but easy save with a few trial and error drops since it's impossible to remember the level layout. Has a funny surprise at the end. Interesting pathing I guess but this was not for me.

It's a really long save with quite a few choke jumps. Especially when you need to drop down somewhere and can't predict where you land because of awkward screen transisions. There aren't tooo many of these, but enough that it can get annoying.
However there are way worse games out there, and i didn't had too much of a bad time going through it. Wouldn't recommend it though

This is an actual magic tower game with a lot less IWBTG influence than the maker's "Not Another Magic Tower Game".
The premise is very much the same, but this is a lot more comfortable to play in the fact that there is no combat sequences where you shoot at enemies and dodge their attacks. Combat takes place via the traditional magic tower way in an automated fashion calculating attack and defense values against each other. Platforming is also toned way down compared to NAMTG where pretty minimal platforming skills are required to navigate the tower generally. There's one corner jump and maybe 1 platform jump depending on your door openings, and that's about as tough as it gets on that front.
The bulk of the game revolves around classic resource management making decisions about spending keys, HP, and gold a bit later into the tower. There are some secrets and from I can tell some of them are mandatory in order to reach the end, but they are not too hard to spot if you pay close attention. Another nice quality of life is there is an item to quickly move between floors you have visited and it is given pretty close to the start.
The goal is to try to reach the end of the tower while also achieving the highest score possible. The game features an online leaderboard where you can submit your score, but I believe it only shows the top ten? If you are less concerned about scoring, there are skeleton key (earned only via level ups) doors at the start of the tower that can be opened if you are stuck that give piles of stuff, but significantly negatively impact your final score for each one you open. One of them in particular gives an overwhelming amount of stats that I felt trivializes the game a bit too much, but if you want to just see it through without worrying about score, the option is there.
I really enjoyed this game generally, and I hope we see more of this style of fangame. I found the emphasis taken off the combat somewhat refreshing as you never get bogged down grinding avoidances, and reseting when you get hit to sweat HP. The rewind system, while buggy, is a nice way to undo mistakes and experiment, and the backup save system is pretty nice as well. Overall a good package if you want to experience a proper magic tower / Tactical Nexus experience without the IWBTG sweating.

it took me like 10 attempts to do this but i really wouldnt consider this a walk in the park. i can definitely see myself as a beginner struggling with this a lot. it can get pretty tight
id rate it 5/10, but i have to take off 1 point for arrogantly jamming itself in the middle of my screen each attempt. like, for fucks sake, i put you to the side for a reason

fun fact if you die at the very end clear screen the boss respawns and starts shooting at you
