I wanna Tear It done right...probably. That's how I'm going to preface this, yup.
Infernal Beings is a short, highly fast-paced dotkid avoidance consisting primarily of RNG, with a couple of (relatively) simple patterns sprinkled in. With creative attacks that are very close to each other in terms of difficulty, but very different in the way they work, there's a surprisingly high level of variety in this game.
There's also an unsurprisingly high level of difficulty. You can probably guess from the difficulty ratings, but this game demands a lot from you. From attempting to read extremely fast projectiles that come from several directions to quickly finding paths across spinning circles to reach the middle of the screen, this game tests a lot of different skill sets on top of being conventionally hard (i.e. fast and dense RNG that demands insane reflexes). On the plus side, you do have a Dotkid hitbox, which allows you to make much more daring and creative dodges and makes actual walls much more unlikely. On the minus side, the game will constantly demand those daring and creative dodges from you, and some RNG sequences are quite unreasonable for a human. Don't let a death discourage you. Or a dozen. Or a hundred, or a thousand, or even ten thousand of them.
Long story short, this is an amazing avoidance. With lots of creative and varied attacks that keep the player moving the whole time and test several skill sets, surprisingly solid balance (Partly thanks to the dotkid hitbox) and superb visuals, I don't think avoidances get much better than this. (Except maybe for Kardia, from what I've heard. Don't take my word for it). Easily my favorite avoidance as of now. Highly recommended.
Side notes:
- Rare instance of me recording a clear. Horayy. Would be depressing to beat a game of this caliber without recording or streaming it.
- Despite the similar difficulty ratings, this is leagues harder than anything else I've ever rated 90 or less. At the 90s, 1 point in difficulty means a lot. Although, I do plan on updating my difficulty ratings eventually.
- This game reminds me a lot of I wanna Tear It. I don't think I can properly explain it, but it feels like those two games are perfectly tailored to pull up players to their skill level. Except Infernal Beings doesn't ruin the idea by having a much harder last attack (Probably? I guess).
