Consider these two pieces of info:
This took me less than ten minutes to beat, not because I'm a great player, but because it's not that hard.
This is a basic needle game made up of 16 screens. There's not a single gimmick in the game, unless you consider platforms a gimmick.
Knowing that, how could I ever rate the game this highly? Well, because it's that good!
There's a surprising amount of creativity on display despite being a mere microcosm of gameplay, mainly on a jump by jump basis. There's nothing outrageous, but given the difficulty of the game, I'm just thankful it's as exciting as it is. The save balance is totally screwed, each screen probably being easy enough that just one save would be decent balance, but that doesn't bother me much.
My other issue is that it's too short, that being my biggest gripe. Realistically, though, that doesn't impact my enjoyment of the game. It just means that I want a bigger game out of this creator. I think if they stepped beyond the boundaries of a basic needle game, they could make something really fun and enjoyable. They've already done so here, why not put their energies into something a little meatier?
Nonetheless, this is a great little experience, one I'd personally recommend heavily.
