What an amazing game. Morning Dew is a hard needle game full of different ideas so it's to be expected that you won't like all of them.
I can't seem to be able to make spoilers work so I'll just say that it was 3 saves in total I didn't like, which is nothing for a game this big.
Having seen some of it before really playing the game I expected to like some things less than I actually did when I got around to playing them, I feel this made for an even more positive experience than if I had played the game completely blind.

Crimson ripoff is pretty dated and that is definitely felt. (Much like crimson needle 1.)
The gimmicks used are pretty annoying mostly and feel a bit awkward. The jumps are pretty standard, however i'm not sure how much so if it was compared to other games at the time of it's release. The difficulty curve was very all over the place for me with the late 20's and early 30's being the hardest, although i took a long break after so there could be increased skill.
Overall i still had some fun and can recommend this if you want some standard slightly challenging needle.

Would recommend playing until last save, since the last jump sucked most of the fun out of the game.
