EDIT/UPDATE: Cleared the true ending of the game (beat floor 100)! What a thrill ride this playthrough has been. I love the feeling of a floor seeming too hard at first, but eventually becoming easier as you play through it. It really feels like Kale designs these rooms with this idea of improvement and consistency in mind. It's what makes the final floors especially quite fun.
I also want to talk about the visuals and music. Of course, the title screen is very well done, as is the case with CN2 as well. Most of the floors have good visuals, and the particle effects are a very nice touch. On the music side, you could say that most of it pleases my sour.
Even though there were some bad screens (very few), I'm still giving a 10/10 because the good ones really help make up for it. Thanks to Kale, Plasma, and Zero for working together on this massive project.
PS: On floor 93, the disappearing platforms at the end to add to the suspense is absolute genius. We need more fun things like this in needle games lol :)
Old review: I'm only on floor 71 right now, so I'll update this review and add more detail (including difficulty rating) once I clear the game. Right now though, it seems incredible. I love the fact that it completely surprised me with the gimmicks and floor 31. The gimmicks are used quite well and I love that you have to spend time thinking about how you're going to clear a screen before playing it. You could almost even call it a puzzle game combined with challenging platforming, which makes for a unique experience when compared to the other two games. Can't wait to play more for the clear.
