Wahfuu
For: I wanna love the Miku
god i hecking love miku

So, this is a multi avoidance game with some different needle by various creators thrown in. The avoidances vary in length and difficulty, as does the needle, but the avoidances more noticeably. Strangely, miku only actually shows up in 1 of them. What the hell tho?

To give a quick note about the needle: It's... alright. Nothing offensive, decent filler between bosses. Except Q's stage, which is just one enormous room with some gravity flipping where it's more of a challenge to find the exit. It's not a bad effort but if you're trying to do it blind I find the way forward to be... not the most intuitive thing in the world. Wouldn't recommend.

So, let's be real: You're playing a game LITERALLY called "love the miku." You know what you're here for.

Unfortunately, I can't say the avoidances are all that great. A big problem is that they're all sort of in the same style of each other: Shape based fruit patterns that overlap into tight gaps, for 4 minutes. (With the last boss being light orbs. (And one boss is 2 minutes.)) There's not a lot of originality between the avoidances. It's just some different aesthetics and timings.

I think a large problem comes into that the pattern style of "shapes on shapes" just wasn't really satisfying to learn, since the movement of said shapes is almost entirely the same: Center or corner bursting out. You pretty much know what you did wrong the second you press the jump button. It's just not satisfying or movement intensive pattern.

For some specifics on each avoidance:

Nekomimi Switch (fail stages avoidance) (also the song is about Miku putting on cat ears and then having a scifi hallucination, worth mentioning) is the first one I did so it sticks in my mind a bit more than the others. It's not bad, and there's some arena changing (and it's the only avoidance where Miku shows up), but it kinda comes and goes.

Irony, Q's stages avoidance, I honestly think... might be my favorite? The very simple background and aesthetics remind me of balloon, and I think the shape pattern style seems to work better in an easier avoidance. This is the easiest of the bunch by alot, and it doesn't do a whole lot different, but I think the attacks being timed to the vocals is the most crisp here, and very little isn't reactable.

It is worth noting that this one would have gotten FAR older far quicker if I had died to it more, I imagine, since it's long as SHIT (the entire song, a bit over 4 minutes) and there's not a lot of relevant RNG. (The song is amazing though and fits with the aesthetics quite well.)

Ren'ai Saiban, Sheeps stage, unfortunately I think falls into the reverse. It's not really easy enough to be a chill grind and it's not really hard enough or different enough from the rest of them. Every attack you'll see in all of them is here, just tighter gaps, except there's one corridor part where you just... kind of run back and forth. It's like the easiest locus attack ever made. The song is good, and so is the timing, but the gameplay is... ehhh. It's nothing spectacular, and in an awkward difficulty range.

And finally, Tsuki Kage Mai Ka, Sunblas stages avoidance. Production wise it's definitely the best, and apples get traded for orbs here as mentioned before. It's the hardest of the bunch, but not all that grindy. There's a couple center rng attacks... I think? I honestly couldn't figure it out when some attacks were concerned. It's basically 'tight shape gap' the fight, but there's a bit more creativity with overlappings here than in the previous ones. But it does carry a lot of the same problems that the other ones have, and unfortunately I did this one as the last avoidance, so I was quite tired of it all by this point. This is another 4 minute monster, but there's quite a bit of dead time in some of them (theres almost a solid 25 second transition into the final attack) so it's not quite as busy. I did manage to one try the final section/attack, but it did feel like the most different attack in all the avoidances and was pretty fun, at least!

If you're really hankering for a bit of needle and a bit of miku to bite into without committing to anything, it's worth a shot for sure. The music choices are good, and nothing is too hard to wall an experienced player. But it's a bit lacking in most departments, imo.

For: I wanna be the Fangame hell zone
Ancient fangame with a weird format. You start out in hell, everything looks very red, and there's a lot of fire-related obstacles. That's the first screen. The very next screen is already a boss rush. Not the Kamilia series type of boss rush, but the type of boss rush where you have to beat boss after boss with no saves inbetween. And there's no save after the first screen, too, so if you die, you have to beat the first screen again, then play the boss rush. The bosses themselves are interesting: They are a little tricky, but once you understand how they work, they are relatively easy, so you can focus on learning the next one. The last one of them is really confusing and hard to get used to, which also means that it's the hardest among them.
After that, I'd expect the game to be over, but it's just starting. A long chase with puzzle-ish sections and needle sections, fast moving platforms, lots of moving obstacles, at some point you leave "hell" and soon you realize that this game's main mechanic is to never allow the player to rest. Ever. Despite the platforming being really precise, I can safely say that the first save, with the boss rush, was the hardest. In fact, it almost seems like every save is easier than the previous ones, with few exceptions.
And then, there's the last boss. It's a reverse chase, and it's really hard for RNG reasons. Random areas of the ground will catch fire, and sometimes you'll have nowhere to go, or sometimes you do but it's an ugly path that forces you to give up on a lot of damage. You also have a time limit to kill the boss, since the screen only scrolls to a limited distance. And that's even harder than it looks, because even though he's huge, his hitbox is small. Not to mention, his HP is really high and he has no invulnerability frames, which makes him a mashfest. Beat him, and you get to the clear screen, where you can collect a trophy that will crash your game with some weird error.
By now, you might have noticed that this game is very crude. Its structure is weird, the difficulty curve is upside-down, I almost feel like I played the game backwards, the end screen crashes and there are one or two other bizarre bugs along the game, the last boss is atrocious and the first save suffers of Boshy Syndrome. However, it's still really fun. The precise platforming keeps you on your toes from the beginning to the end, and the game is relatively short (Less than 10 saves, I believe, though they're all long and take long), so it's not a tiring experience. The boss rush isn't anywhere near as much of a chore as it might sound, there are some interesting gimmicks around, the visuals are nice and so are the musics, and the last boss...No, the last boss is just trash.
Anyway, it's a nice fangame. Crude, but nice, sort of like a certain favorite of mine. Would recommend.

Welowas
For: I wanna medley the Retard's Game
Welp, this game definitely was a journey.

It's a needle medley game inspired by I wanna medley the Idiot's Game consisting of one stage (8 games, with 2 screens each) and it tries to focus on "grid needle" and what you can do with it. At times it can be kinda questionable in design but it also had some creative ideas that I haven't seen in any other fangame really, like for example the gate simulator screen from Save Shitai that keeps adding small gimmicks every few gate jumps you do.
For me personally, it was mostly fun to play.
Though be warned that the last screen, which is the second Justice screen, is way harder than the rest of the game and it can be quite a grind. It isn't necessarily bad but its difficulty is definitely out of place.

So I would suggest you give it a shot anyways and just stop on the last screen IF you think you really don't wanna grind that out since the screens before are (maybe with the exception of one other screen) an experience that I do recommend.

The song for the stage is very catchy but considering that it's just that one song for all screens, I'll give the music aspect of it only a 9/10 for its repetitivity.
The visuals yet simple are very clean and nice looking remade versions of the original sprites (even if the changes are just very slight sometimes).

The last thing I wanna talk about is the clear screen since it technically also is an extra needle screen in a different, even more generic and also kinda cancerous style that doesn't even give you anything for beating it. (Shoutouts to DestructorTheDestroyer for beating that for me to check btw.)
You just end up in a different part of the same clear screen that is basically just a hole. But I guess don't take this part too seriously since it's probably just a meme.

I hope this review was kinda helpful and you might consider playing the game or stay away from it if it doesn't seem like the kind of game you wanna play. But hey, trying doesn't hurt. ;)

It's so weird how none of the reviews actually say anything about the game. This thing always gives me a nostalgic feeling. It was one of the first fangames I've ever played (Not one of the very first, but I believe it was among the first 10), and man, did this leave an impression.
You can probably tell what this is about from the screenshots, but I'll say it anyway. This is a Lovetrap fangame made by that one fangame maker we all know, and as such, you can already imagine where the difficulty level is at. It consists of a 7-boss boss rush, where you need to beat the first six bosses in order to unlock the last. Every boss is a Big Kid themed on a popular fangame boss: Solgryn, Kamilia, Geezer, Four Devils...Big Kid...Yeah. A Big Kid boss whose theme is Big Kid. Creative, huh? And there's that other Big Kid themed on a boss I've never seen in my life (Edit: Found it, it's themed on I don't wanna be the Gay). All of them are incredibly hard (Some harder than others), with ridiculously high amounts of HP and the prime definition of luck-based attacks, but not impossible (I think?) and there are a few videos on Youtube of (arguably) humans beating, or getting close to beating, one or two of them. So I guess it's no surprise that some people think that this game is humanly possible (As you can see in other reviews. Or maybe they just don't care. Why make a review if you don't care, though?).
The last boss is the problem. I mean, the problem beyond the near-impossible bosses. It's a Big Kid themed on Happil, and it's a real hope crusher. It's even longer than the other bosses, and it borrows attacks from each one of them (One Big Kid per phase), throwing everything at once at you. It's a clownfiesta of projectiles that can't be compared to the other bosses, lasting for about 8 or 9 minutes, if I recall correctly. There was a TAS video of it on Youtube a long while ago, but it was deleted, so I can't tell for sure. In other words, even if anyone were to make it to the final boss through sheer willpower, patience and lots of free time, that's where you stop. Where your biggest efforts really don't matter at all. It kind of reminds me of IWBTPro, but because I don't see anyone ever making it to the last boss and, therefore, feeling that frustration, it doesn't irk me as much. Besides, I don't want to give a full 0 to a fangame that has an interesting concept such as this, even if it's ruined by the atrocious gameplay. So, I'm giving it the second lowest possible rating instead, a way of saying that the effort the maker put in this and the interesting concept weigh nearly nothing when the gameplay is this atrocious.
