Well, I'm not the lowest rating this time, nor the second lowest. Props to the music and the difficulty curve until the third section, which was quite chill and memorable for me. The rest is quite uneventful and unremarkable, particularly the second section which had awful level design with spikes difficult to see until you died.
It could be relaxing for some looking for easier games after harder adventures, and as a 100-Floor game, it delivers the most basic principles, but if you're looking for something more innovative, give this a pass.

Wasn't much of a fan of the hidden boss since I never figured out how to dodge one attack so I had to keep trying and trying until I cleared the boss without getting that attack. Also you can't leave the hidden stage which is something that the game should let the player do.
Final boss might have went a little too far, 3 phases, the 1st and 2nd one being clearly more tough than all the previous bosses, and the 3rd phase being the most interesting one but also the most difficult one. I didn't mind learning all the attacks of the boss fight, but comparing the final boss to the previous stages/bosses, it felt like a huge difficulty jump. The boss itself is a blast to play so I honestly didn't mind it besides the frame drops on some attacks.
I really wished this game would run on my low end PC without any FPS drops but few bosses, mainly final boss and hidden boss, have some heavy lag inducing attacks PepeHands.
I'd still recommend Defeat The Robot if the player doesn't mind getting used to slightly different physics, the production value is amazing, the song choice is a banger, and the platforming was overall well done. There are 10 secret golden cubes but they just unlock cosmetic stuff.

Just got into I Wanna Be The Guy Fan and i just heard that they were making a remake of this yesterday. Well I looked on Delicious Fruit and there it was! I Wanna Kill The Kamilia 2 Remake. It now allows full screen, controller friendliness, and removal of many bugs. I haven't seen what is gonna be changed for the last boss but I can't wait! Great Remake!

Rating includes extra.
Starts off with gimmick that shooting spike creates block that turns into water, or speeds up or down moving spikes' speed. Similar gimmick was later shown in I wanna be the Pastel(same creator). This platforming would be very fun if well used, but this game rely too much on triggering traps, so it became boring so sudden.
Second stage was just bullet hell: 3 or 4 corners of cherries follow you.
Third stage, on the other hand, has plenty of variety. There are many paths you can choose, but you don't have to go through all of them. I felt like I got lost, but actually all of
paths are connected into single path. Then there's a boss, and after you beat it, red "END" sign welcomes you. There are actually bosses each stage, but they are nothing but heavy RNG, nothing much to say.
You can go to extra stage by triggering the spikes off by touching somewhere of letter E,N and D. Extra stage is 3 screens of hard needle that makes up this game's true difficulty. You may have a same feeling of I wanna be the Dieary's extra stage; it well shows azure's needle style.
After third extra screen(save jumping room), there's a dark room with green and red portals, the red one teleports you to bland ending. In order to reach the green portal, you have to find invisible platforms, avoiding red ones. Suiciding won't help, because most of invisible things are platforms, not blocks. If you reach green portal, there's a slightly less bland ending.
Overall, even if this game is extremely old, however shows quite unique jumps and interesting level design. It was great.
