For: I Wanna Break The Spike Trial
Note: this review is copy-pasted from a reply on the forum thread of this game, with some extra details and thoughts.
Pros:
- Overall great soundtrack
- Nice graphics (minus one area which I'll talk about later)
- Pretty well designed levels
- Decent save balance
Cons:
- Extremely annoying trolls
- Certain sounds (breaking blocks and fake blocks) are really loud
- Z saves that are commonly either a few blocks away from the first jump, or in the air (personal pet peeve, probably doesn't bother that many people)
As far as graphics go, there are only two complaints I really have to say. In world three (the gray level with switches and clocks) the tiles and background blend in a lot. It is very hard for me to distinguish shades of gray from black, so sometimes figuring out where to go was a bit of a hassle (particularly the last save, with the moving platforms). In the world with the potions and white tiles, there is an impossible corridor between two clocks. Touching a clock gives you three seconds to touch another, or you die. The path is not so obvious, though. You have to shoot some blocks that are slightly different from the other tiles and go through them. I had to get someone in the I Wanna Community discord to tell me that, and even knowing it I can't tell a difference. I'd recommend making those blocks that you can break at least a little bit darker.
One thing I didn't particularly enjoy were the trolls. They seemed very out of place in this game, and just frustrated me more than anything. However, the first time I got hit by a falling grenade, I lost my shit laughing.. Towards the end especially, the trolls got extremely frustrating. One screen in particular were filled with triggers and fake blocks, it felt so out of place, and nothing but frustrate me.
The difficulty in the last two screens is insane compared to the difficulty before, but it's overall balanced fairly well. That said, the placement of a lot of the saves is pretty annoying. A lot of them are a either a few blocks away, or in the air for no reason. If they were just slightly adjusted, a lot of saves would be extremely less frustrating.
Beyond those few issues, the game is pretty good. Would recommend. Hopefully this review offers some help to players, and the developer.

Relaxing needle with a visual style that visibly borrows from Minimal (The readme mentions it as the main inspiration for the game, anyway), but with a fairly different needle style. Consists of 3 stages, the first one being a straight needle stage while the next two have their own gimmicks (Water and triple jump, respectively) mixed with needle. Everything is really well-designed, the jumps are quite interesting and fun to execute, and the stages aren't too long or too short: They start out easy to introduce their gimmicks, then gradually get harder, and then they end. Nice visuals, cool and fitting musics, no death sound (Always a plus).
I really liked this game. Would recommend.
