I don't even remember making this game that well. I think I did the entire thing starting at 2 AM and finishing at 5 or 6 AM. Suffice it to say, I did not put a whole lot of effort in. The soundtrack's good, but the idea of a game that is just a single escape sequence isn't really since it doesn't build up to anything. I'm still kind of amused by the ending though.
Name explanation: Aqua Volans Per Aeram are some Latin words that refer to the Philosopher's Stone. I don't know exactly what they mean. It has no relation to the game at all.

For: I wanna deracinate the Walls of Theodosius II
My fifth "real" game, although it's of the single boss variety. I'm still very attached to the jump refreshers in a boss concept, but in retrospect this execution of it could have been a lot better. I still think the atmosphere is pretty top-notch even though a lot of it was rehashed from resources I already had laying around.
Name explanation: The painting used as the boss is a fairly famous one of Mehmed II, the Ottoman sultan who finally conquered Constantinople. To deracinate is to tear something up by the roots. The Theodosian walls were erected before Constantine took residence in the city and were already in ruin before the Ottomans attacked, but I liked the name anyway. Please forgive me for the historical inaccuracy.

Megaman blocks, "left right" platforming, hard needle, could of rated higher if only production value was a bit elevated.

For: I wanna conceptualize the Omnitruncated Tesseract
Made for YoSniper's 2014 game contest. There were a few rules necessitating silly things like the inclusion of a pie, but the most significant thing about them was that I couldn't use jump refreshers. The core conceit of game was repeating the basic layout of each screen multiple times and changing the player's path through them with each iteration. No one seemed to notice that in particular and it probably ended up being too long for most people's tastes, but I'm still pretty proud of it in general, and of the unlockable extra area in particular.
Name explanation: An omnitruncated tesseract (also known as a great disprismatotesseractihexadecachoron) is a runcination of a regular tesseract, which is a shape one dimension above a cube (similarly to how a cube is one dimension above a square.) People took this to mean the the teleporter gimmick was the titular object, but that was unintentional. I had just been thinking a lot about them at the time.

I couldn't get past stage 4, so I can't say much aside from the early screens mostly being good choices. Even if I don't find the joke bosses particularly funny, the effort to create a medley game that isn't needle hell is respectable, and executed well.

I half-assed parts of this game honestly, which is why I can't give it a better score in good faith. It's not particularly long so they don't stand out much, but I could have done a lot better. There's nothing particularly offensive about the game as long as you don't mind poorly-ripped SMB sprites though. I still like the title screen a lot.
Name explanation: To "immanentize the eschaton" is essentially to create a perfect world in the here and now as opposed to waiting for one in the afterlife. As a title it makes complete and absolute sense if you follow the complex storyline stretching across all my games.

Troll game, last few screens gets a bit confusing, but it's fun in the end.
