Not a traditional fangame by any means, We Live Under The Stairs showcases options for fangames not seen in any other game. I must specifically compliment the game's way of inducing fear with environment and lore instead of relying on jumpscares and/or monsters. Both graphics and music fit the game perfectly, only exception being certain out of place sprites (Minecraft inventory screen ? Really ?) that work against the immersion in the story that the game attempts to create. Gameplay combines point and click games with a fangame in a way that feels very natural. The backtracking that is obviously needed in this type of game doesn't feel annoying as it never takes much time and if you read the text carefully you'll always know where to go and what to do. I recommend everyone to go through the house again after the ending to reveal additional details to do plot.

I never expected myself to like a trap game so much but here we go. Half puzzle game and half trap game with charming visuals, great sound design (volume warning tho) and a lot of original ideas. Puzzles are very inventive and so are the traps and if something seems impossible in the game it means that it really is impossible 99% of the time. I'd replay the game if it ever gets translated in English as I believe it would further improve the experience. There might be some secrets in the game, if anyone finds any please let me know. The game is also very beginner friendly (at least on the Easy mode) therefore I can safely recommend it even to the people outside of the community.

I don't want to write a longer review for this because that would take more effort than the creator took while making this game. I can't recommend anyone to play this - it's just a mess with no redeeming quality. I rate difficulty as 20/100 but actually completing the game is definitely more difficult as it's hard to resist the urge to alt+f4 immediately.
