I Wanna Be The Shape is an adventure game made by AquaWaddledee, mainly known for making I Wanna Challenge 100 Trials. However, this game isn't heralded nearly as highly as that one, and it's easy to see why.
The game may not look at bad at first glance—despite starting out with Guy Rock, there's still some interesting gimmicks after seeing that. Whether it be spinning cherry wheels, water currents, blinking blocks in both solid and killer flavors, and even more, this game is doing just fine in the ideas department. In the actual execution, though, that's where the problems start. First, the game has way too many traps littered throughout, and not even interesting ones either. Aside from the occasional one that actually is interesting (especially as you get closer to the end of the game), most of them are just flying spike traps that are nothing more than memorization. Apart from that, the music also restarts upon death, except for the couple of stages where it doesn't, but even then, the actual process of restarting is automatic, throwing a big wrench into your muscle memory. Speaking of jank, this game has that aplenty, especially in terms of the slopes, although I can't exactly fault the maker on this, since slopes were hard to program, especially in 2014.
Luckily, basically none of it affects the bosses, which are actually better than most of the game, but not without their flaws.
-Every stage has a miniboss, which are similar enough that I'll just be covering them all at once here. They're mostly flame enemies that follow you around, so the challenge is in luring them in a place where you can shoot them. This isn't an issue for the most part, except for the 4th one which just moves on its own pattern which is hard to predict. There's also a couple of cherry minibosses in stage 6, but they're nothing too bad either.
-Now onto the actual bosses, starting with the big spike. The problem is, I don't have much to say on it, since you can just mash your way past it easily without issue. From what I saw of it though, it does look easy besides that.
-Next is the poison flower, which only shoots when you shoot it. This means you can spam the boss or take your time on it, whichever you feel more comfortable with.
-Bubble trouble is up next, and it's nothing too special either, it's just a bubble that splits into two for every time you shoot it. This one doesn't require much thought, just shoot like a madman until you win.
-A much more complicated boss, however, is the bug block. This one actually has multiple phases that you have to get past, which mostly transition into each other well, aside from the boss unpredictably falling on you sometimes. Still, I appreciate the variety here, as well as how the gimmick of the stage is incorporated into here.
-Up next is...a minigame? Ok, it's a bit weird that this is counted as a boss, but I guess I'll talk about it here anyway. Here, you're tasked with collecting 100 purple coins as the screen scrolls forward. It's fine for the most part, except for the fact that the maker managed to fit some traps into here too, which sucks.
-Lastly is the final boss, the Shape, which is actually an avoidance with the song "Welcome Your New Overlord" from Kirby's Return To Dream Land. The fight may look intimidating at first, until you realize you can just shoot a lot of the bullets down, causing them to ricochet into other bullets, and so on. That is, if you're able to shoot them in the first place, since some attacks move way too fast for you to be able to do so. I gotta say though, the ending is really cinematic and epic, really fitting for a final boss.
Oh yeah, the game also has secrets, I almost forgot to mention that bit. These are nothing interesting, the most you could get out of these is a single stage with more traps in it. Other than that, you have a single puzzle which you won't understand if you don't speak Japanese, so here's the solution if you want to solve that: 4, 1, 2, 6, 0, 7, 5, 3. So yeah, you aren't missing much by not getting these.
How much are you missing by skipping this game as a whole, though? If you hate traps, not a lot. Otherwise, you could like the variety and production it has, but still, not recommended.

This game has restarting music and the first world is spring green with bad guy rock and generic brown tiles. It's a trap game with decent platforming. I only recommend this game as a joke. I don't think you should play it. It does have a giant, fun maze and a nice purple coins segment though.

Has to be one of the worst adventures i've ever played, and i played a lot of them. It's just straight unfun with insane amount of generic traps, badly implemented gimmicks and boring bosses, final one is special nightmare; and overall it lasts for so fucking looong. I recommend to avoid this at all cost. The few worthy bits can't be justified by going for them through pit of awfulness

I think this game starts pretty good but as you get to the later stages (which are much longer than the early ones) it loses a LOT of it's appeal, with tons of flying spike traps everywhere, annoying bosses in the form of the 4th midboss and final boss, and honestly just very uninteresting platforming, it feels like the longest stages are the ones with the least unique ideas. If I had to name a highlight, it's definitely stage 3, the water stage, but after that I found myself more annoyed than anything else. It's at least interesting to see how much of this game ended up manifested into 100 trials.
