Despite being unfinished, everything in the game was put together with love and compassion. I can't really complain about anything in this game because it's that good.

Unfortunately, the more I played this game the less I wanted to play more. Stage 1-2 are trap-riddled, and the Geezer boss is just long and annoying. Stage 3 just has some of the worst gimmicks I've ever seen, the snake block and its use being extremely mind-numbing, and it felt as if the "creature blocks" for lack of a better term just didn't work and immediately killed you sometimes. Stage 4 was relatively inoffensive, but its boss is very tedious, and overall not very fun/burnt me out before Stage 5, which didn't do much to remedy. The "final" boss is also quite annoying as well unfortunately. (final being in quotations due to the game being unfinished)

Despite this, there are some highlights that make this worth playing, those being the end of Stage 2, (super fun and very intuitive stuff,) Stage 3s Boss, (very fun to play, pretty well-done,) and Stage 4 as a whole. Unfortunately, the rest is just not very fun imo, and while I wouldn't advise against this one, I certainly wouldn't recommend.

I went in expecting to like this game, unfortunately the opposite happened.
The first two stages were good, though i didn't like the frequent traps. Stage 3 and after is where the game fell apart for me. I found the gimmicks to be very hit or miss, except the misses were more and heavier than the hits. In this case i'd have preferred to have harder platforming and more saves, since some of the later stuff felt very learny and sometimes it'd be at the end, creating a frustrating experience. The bosses were okay. Very classic and learny and i don't mind that for bosses.
The tilesets used were mostly gotten from old games, i don't really know any of the games besides one and thus didn't really like how the game looks. Same thing for the songs.

As I have said in Thenewgeezer's case, unfinished is unfinished and it pains me not to have a closure in the story. This is one of two games in my clear list where I am forced to rate unfinished potential knowing that it could have been greater... It pains me, because production value is bliss and gameplay is addictive and worth of replay value. Some traps are funnily placed (never have been a fan of the genre, I insist), but some frustrated me to no end. Traps right in the ending of the screen are not fun.

Nevertheless, Sephalos' shined back in 2014 with this innovative entry: excellent sound choice and graphics, challenging and fun bosses, and I actually have less trouble with the gimmicks used than people in general did... At least there wasn't a freaking water stage, because I hate water physics.

All of this, until I stumble upon that cursed "Thank You For Playing My Beta, Unfinished and Ergo Unconcluded Story Version of the Game". Not cool. This needs to be updated, and now! Heck, I even found it as a better game overall than most of the sequels of the Megaman X series! I still wanna be the 8bit!!
