Fun hub based adventure game. I honestly don't have a lot to say about it, it was kinda relaxing to play. I just wish the final boss attack where he target you wasn't that strict on second phase.

Conscience is a very solid adventure that captures that oldschool sort of feel alongside some simple but nice production value, referencing some older games and classics with appropriate visuals.

The game drops you off in a hub and gives you a choice of which order you wanna do things in. Every stage is fairly trap heavy with some real scamp moments lying deep into saves, but they mix well with the gimmicks and hazards in each stage, utilizing their respective theme pretty nicely with the visual variety. There were a couple of traps that confused me, with one particular trap in the Mario underground stage feeling a bit too cryptic for its own good.

All of the bosses feel unique, again playing into the theme of the stage. They never felt very learny and the attacks flowed quite nicely, although the final boss takes a bit of getting used to in order to adapt to his patterns quickly which actually made for a very enjoyable and fun finale. One boss that felt more or less reaction-speed based I wasn't big on, although it isn't terribly demanding.

Overall it's a moderately sized adventure with some oldschool variety, fun bosses and a boatload of colourful traps along the way, which sounds like a good time to me.

Another Magnanimity-like platforming game. Moving obstacles, tight maneuvering, plenty of traps, lots of timing. However, unlike in Magnanimity, this game's traps are well-placed. There are plenty of interesting gimmicks, and the platforming itself is interesting as well. The stages are well-themed, and they stick to their theme (You won't see a Mario Stage full of gray spikes), which is good. The last stage is also interesting.
The bosses are great and somewhat unique on their own way. The last boss is one of the very few moving bosses that are still fair and not luck-based. Visuals are great, and the musics are nice, although they restart.
There's nothing to really complain about in this game, other than the sharp difficulty. Highly recommended.

Pretty good adventure game, some save have a few too many traps but besides that it's pretty good, I'm always a fan of seeing stages based on other video games, the Yoshi's Island stage was a treat for that reason. It's simple fun and the final stage is a pretty interesting platforming challenge. I will say the bosses aren't very notable which is a bit of a weakness, but besides that the game is totally fine.

Conscience is an adventure game that managed to consistently disappoint me the entire playthrough. There are good ideas here, interesting obstacles, and varied aesthetics, yet all of it feels either superficial or tedious. It's a good representation of having a plan but failing to fully execute it, thus creating a half-baked mess.

First, let me start with one of my main issues, the music straight up gave me a headache. I don't normally get bothered by restarting music, but holy shit did the start of some of these songs sound terrible repeating their first notes over and over again. I believe this complaint is especially warranted considering there's one segment that actually does not have restarting music, meaning the developer picked what did and didn't intentionally as a design choice. I think this system is absolutely terrible, especially when the gameplay isn't exactly easy and will result in a lot of deaths.

Next, I found a lot of the platforming segments absolutely horrible, such as the Chain Chomp chase, the screen with a bunch of laser fuckery, and the part where you ride the Mario snake block through the baseball shooters. There are a lot of other distasteful segments as well, and nothing ever made up for them by being particularly fun. Added on to this are traps that are usually fine, but there are a load that just serve to make saves more tedious without being funny at all. Of all the stages, the last one especially sticks out like a sore thumb, it's basically just Needle involving moving spikes, spinning shurikens, and moving solids, and most of it doesn't actually play as fun as it might sound. (Once again I find myself asking why Medley makers always borrow from the most boring stages like this one). None of the game is like this at all, so it's pretty unusual and ruined the overall mood of the game in my eyes.

The bosses are a mixed bag, like half of them are fine but the other half just sucks. The final boss is particularly obnoxious due to how much it buffs itself in the second phase (upon reaching half health). A big problem with every boss is that they're mostly just 3-4 attacks that go on the whole fight, occasionally they'll just be buffed but still the same thing. None of them are actually entertaining because of this, they just end up being boring, which is one of the worst things a boss can be.

Overall, Conscience feels like a complete mess that I didn't really find any enjoyment in. It needed a lot more time in the oven to actually flesh out more, instead, it just feels like an unfinished product with minimal playtesting. Wouldn't recommend it.
