Extraordinary trap game! I wish the community would make more games like this instead of boring unimaginative needle. The only problem with this game is that the first boss is an RNG shitstorm and Lakitu can just go die in a pit.

(I played this game in May 2016. It was slightly above my skill level at that time.)
I had an alright time with this game. I found the traps to mostly be a bunch of “gotcha” moments that you could avoid if you were checking everything for traps, but then you’d get reversed trapped sometimes instead. There were at least 5 traps per save, and you would die to most of them when you first see them. Some of them were witty or funny, like leading the player to troll themselves with a corner, but these felt few and far between.
Normally restarting music is ok, but to this extent it got old. I’d actually forgotten some stages had non-restarting until recently due to how much I heard some songs repeat.
The mechanics in the stages were cool, but were also overpowered by either the sheer volume of traps, or them being placed at the end of long segments.
I really enjoyed the bosses, the infamous lakitu one got a little tedious but was still mostly enjoyable.
I actually planned on taking a break from this game when I first played it and continuing another day as it was getting tiring, but I got quite a bit of “No! Keep playing!” in chat while I was streaming, so I thought I’d keep going as people watching were enjoying it a lot more than I was.
Then I savelocked from a warp bug 9 hours in.

This might sound shocking, but metamorphosis is one of the few games where I actually wasn't annoyed by traps, can't really tell you how that happened though. Traps aside, this is a super long adventure, consisting out of intro stage + 4 stages long hub + final level. My biggest complain is lakitu boss in one of the hub stages. Final boss is epic and SourPls.

There are a lot of cool traps and creative ones, the stages are individual and interesting in their own way.Of the minuses, the presence of such a thing as the Penalty Area in one of the stages, which at first seems funny, and then it is a common waste of time and an annoying factor. A huge number of RNG bosses, Jugeru as a clear example. The final boss is delayed and has inherently a couple of useless attacks, which when you know about they just waste your time. And overall it's a good game even now.
