An extremely fun pattern avoidance drawing inspiration from !!!ChaosTime!!!, although way easier and more approachable. Most of the patterns are quite fun both to learn blind and to execute, with a lot of creative, crazy and chaotic attacks being thrown in there (shout-outs to the swinging arena section, as well as the final section with the arena becoming a circle). The plentiful camera and visual effects are quite well-used here, it doesn't end up being annoying because the attacks that use it are patterns that you can just learn and execute rather than having to read them each time. One thing also worth mentioning is that this is also the kind of avoidance where you would really want to re-watch and analyze your attempts since the effects can make it a bit hard to see what's going on at first.

The pacing of the fight is also quite well-done, with it being very well-synced to a great choice of a track, and the attacks themselves always being fast and intense, requiring you to stay on the move. There are a couple of moments that I would consider a bit too precise compared to the rest(most notably, the 16px jump in the center at the swinging box part), but they don't detract from the overall enjoyment all that much. The visuals, while one could consider them a bit dated with the default cherry sprites and blocks, do their job well and make sense considering that this is very much inspired by !!!ChaosTime!!!.

Overall, I would very much recommend this both for anyone who enjoys pattern avoidance, as well as any barrage players looking to get into pattern fights. Personally, I would also place this as one of my favourite games in the Ruby tier of Avoidance FSR alongside Cyber Thunder Cider.

it's inspired by chaos time, but it puts its own twist on it, and i think it's executed very well
only gripe is that the ending was disappointing

Renegade Fruits is a pattern avoidance drawing heavy inspiration from Chaos Time, making use of crazy camera rotations, bizarre arena movements and other quirky gimmicks. About 95% of the fight is pattern, making either recording your attempts or studying an existing clear very appealing choices, especially given how initially difficult it can be to tell what is happening on a few attacks. Despite the initially overwhelming impression, it's fairly lenient in a few spots and ended up being a very fun one to learn and execute.

A few attacks go really hard on the visual discombobulation, again a big trait it borrows from Chaos Time. This can be a big positive or a negative depending on how you feel about that kind of stuff, and whilst I'm generally not a fan of it due to feeling almost like artificial difficulty where you struggle to actually see what you should be doing, in this case I surprisingly enjoyed it. I found myself getting remarkably consistent with just about all of the attacks, minus one tricky 16px sorta dodge in the box attack.

The production value on everything but the avoidance leaves a little to be desired. There's no title screen and the intro to the avoidance is as basic as it can be. Not that this really matters a great deal, but it felt like at least 5 minutes could've been spent to spruce the first impression up a little.

If you're a fan of pattern avoidance and don't mind some visual craziness, you might have a good time with this one.
