On my birthday in 2016, Hiddow randomly approached me and asked me if I would like to test a game he was working on. I quite readily took him up on that. Though I never got to really play most of it because slight performance issues lagged my ancient computer at the time, and what remained was yet to be finished, what I could experience of my testplay of Magnificent Stumble directly inspired what you see in here.
Because I was also on a binge of sorts dedicating fangames to my good friends, I then decided to make the game a gift for Nader, hence the Funny clear screen. It was also intended to be an easy game relative to the rest of my output at the time, but I was so stupidly good at my own style that the efforts were pretty fruitless.
I focused a lot on the aesthetics of the game, which I am still proud of. However, because of my own skill getting in the way and it only really taking me a week to make from beginning to end, the game suffers quite a bit. Some parts, particularly screen 5, are clunky and terribly balanced, and there are a lot of decisions I heavily disagree with by my current standards. But it is still an important game to me because it really helped define a style that was unique to me, and I wouldn't have made Phonotransmitter without this initial step in my journey.
When all is said and done, I'd avoid this game and go straight to the infinitely better sequel, but I can't stop you I'm a review. Just note that I'm pretty certain it requires a 1 frame.

Everything in this game was absolutely amazing. The first save of the last screen was by far the hardest in the entire game taking much longer than the rest. Be warned.

Couple of annoying segments but overall was pretty fun. Spent WAY too long on last save (partially my fault for using a shit strat tho OpieOP). Really good and chill atmosphere. Good for advanced noodlers.

I need to get a better keyboard.
Extremely difficult, but amazingly produced needle game. Aside from a few saves/jumps, the game effectively challenged my "needle IQ" while remaining fun all the way through. Granted, this game is over my skill level so I spent considerably longer trying to beat it, but no matter how long it takes, it's a journey I'd recommend to any veteran needle player looking for something unique to play.
Platforming:
Extremely difficult. It doesn't contain your conventional jumps (corners, planes, whatever else people consider hard) so its uniqueness is something most players will notice immediately. The first screen starts off with a bang and the difficulty curve does sway a bit from save to save (or screen to screen), but its overall difficulty doesn't; nothing felt too easy or excruciatingly hard. Apart from a water hourglass jump after a 16 px drop and other saves I've honestly forgotten about (I have terrible memory, you'll have to experience it for yourself), this game was nothing short of perfect.
Avoidance:
None.
Aesthetic:

(Amazing music, very calming. Felt like I was playing needle in a LoZ temple. Tileset is godlike, if I knew how to I'd try to make it my Jtool skin. Played well, no complaints).
Overall rating:
If you love needle and want a enormous challenge/are seasoned in needle and wish to chill with something unique and difficult, I would highly recommend this. If you're more of a novice/intermediate player when it comes to needle and don't have the patience to grind it, play some easier games and come back to this later, maybe even take it save by save. Otherwise, stay away unless you feel confident about your skills. Nonetheless, this is a beautiful game that I wholeheartedly enjoyed. Keep it up Inferno!

a unique game with some fairly interesting water needle. it isn't very long, having around 8 screens in total. this is the ideal amount for a game like this. a thing I like about this game a lot is that it's unique and easily recognizable. after clearing this game, you won't be struggling to remember stuff from it whenever someone mentions it. maybe you can't name individual jumps, but when showed even a layout of it you'll likely be able to recognize it. I personally love games that are this unique - everything from the name, to the style, to the look. it's all very memorable and interesting
on the other hand, it isn't anything super revolutionary or inspiring. perhaps new and fresh at the time, yes - that is something I'm willing to acknowledge. it's hard not to be overshadowed by massive needle games who go above and beyond to throw out all sorts of gimmicks and new ideas at you. sometimes it's fun to appreciate simpler, nicer games like this one, who use what they can to make distinctive needle without any big and substantial gimmicks. these games hold a special place in my heart. I'd like to say I'm someone who admires simplicity and intuitiveness in design
