Ash is a pretty good adventure game that features an incredible amount of variety that made me fall in love with these games in the first place. There are multiple worlds, about a dozen boss battles, and nothing ever gets repetitive or boring. Plenty of references to other games is also afoot, featuring titles such as Megaman, Deltarune, and Kirby.

I did have a few issues with it, mainly 3 bosses but also some platforming which I'll talk a bit about here: First, the Pinwheel boss feels pretty damn cancerous, the hitbox of the objects you need to shoot is incredibly small and they don't even have a gaurenteed chance to do damage. Second, the Dr Wily water boss feels incredibly tedious and annoying, mainly because once again there is a really small hitbox on him. Third, the bullet bill section where you have to go back and forth was incredibly obnoxious alongside the alternating stop/move section at the end of Undertale, they felt really unbalanced from everything else. Finally, the final boss was really cool, but the last two attacks in the first phase felt too tight, and the "sphere" at the end of the last phase also, it was definitely way harder than it felt like it should be.

Those issues aside, I was still willing to play the game in one sitting and it took nearly six hours, of course my skills aren't prestine either but it's definitely mainly due to Ash being really long. It's a great game and I even went and got the secrets while playing, they are gems you can see on the screen so you won't miss them, but also do know they don't actually unlock anything, just adds some bling to your save file.

Highly recommended, it's a prestine adventure game.

the kid swap areas controls are pretty awful but the area isnt too hard. the level design is cool, but i dont appreciate the control scheme at all.

Based on 100 % Clear (i miss one item like a cunt, but this is not really relevant). Man, this game is something. So, it begins pretty middling, but at some point after gradius stage, the game opens a second breath and become truly glorious. Second half of this game is pure gold - a lot of magnificient creativity and so memorable things. Kid Swap stage, Serges, Jailgoon, Mario brothers, Deltarune and Undertale vibes from final stage - this is all just straight-up perfection. So here is my recommendation - just play it, maybe at first look the game doesn't look valuable, but the deeper you go in, the more fun you will explore

This game is a slightly mixed bag but most of the things that are bad are only just "ok" and the good things really shine well. I enjoyed a lot of it, though i felt most bosses to be a drag. That's not the case for the last area however.
I am a huge fan of the last area and the final boss, I found them extremely fun. They alone add a +1.5 to my rating
