I've made this game open-source for anyone that wants: https://mega.nz/file/OERG0b5J#pB_xRbVkd9Ocq0ekeQO9A3uEHh8Yhgq9ueemsr-Q9-s
8/20/2021 Update
-removes debug mode, fuck you GameMaker lmao
8/2/2021 Update
-adds gmsched
3/25/2020 Update
-nerfs to stage 3
-fixes typo on credits
-changed sleep margin so hopefully no more studio lag
4-stage needle game in a more updated rendition of the needle style in Phonotaxis. Each stage has its own unique theme to its platforming. This was in the works over the course of several months. I'm really proud of how it turned out.

Pretty much the ideal sequel Phonotaxis could have ever had, in basically every way (except difficulty I guess) this game expands upon the original, bigger, more gimmicks, better visuals which elevate an already strong atmosphere into a truly special one, and more fun platforming. The game doesn't compromise on the style that made the original so distinct but instead does it's own things with it and makes for an awesome game. Very deserving of it's acclaim, it's really good!

Playing Phonotransmitter is one of those times I go far beyond my comfort range in difficulty in the hope the enjoyment would pay off, and I can confidently say it absolutely did. This is probably one of the most creative needle games out there and manages to accomplish such with fairly standard mechanics.
First off, pretty much every single jump in this game is something I don't think I've done before. They're all unique and interesting, and even when I stumbled across a segment I didn't like as much it's still appreciated for being different. It seems incredibly difficult to make a game this unique without putting in some sort of new gimmick, but Chatran managed to accomplish this feat for three whole stages of completely standard stuff. The final stage of course does add a classic gimmick into play, that being the triple jump, but still manages to use it in completely fresh ways that also incorporate the previous stages as well. As far as difficulty balance goes, the randomized nature of the game makes it hard to judge, but I would say Stage Three felt a lot higher than the rest due to the water grabs being pretty awkward to pull off.
Another thing that makes this game pretty memorable is the amount of visual aesthetics put into this. Not only do the stages look neat, but the pause menu causes the screen to undergo a cool animation, the game over sequence looks wonderful, and even the warp causes a small animation before traversing to the next screen. Add on to this a great atmospheric soundtrack that works with the foggy feel to the game as well as an incredibly pretty credits sequence and you get one of the best-looking needle games out there.
Overall I definitely have to give this one a firm recommendation, and also say this is definitely a maker worth keeping an eye on.

I think everyone has already heard about this game.I will share my feelings. It will be difficult to evaluate the screens inside the stages, since the game has a feature to put the screens in random order. Ie. the screen that was the first inside the stage, in the next passage may become, for example 3.I see this for the first time.
There are only 4 stages of 6 screens, in fact 5, since one stage is indicative of what awaits you next, what you will have to deal with.
Speaking in general terms, the first stage is certainly gorgeous, inside which needles and killing blocks are red
The second, with water of the first type, the complexity increases.
Stage 3 is the most difficult with a lot of precise jumps and contains water of the second type, a huge number of precise jumps, precise water grabs. For me, the least favorite, because it stands out from the overall picture, but it's still good
Stage 4 after the third feels like the easiest in the game.Everything that was in all the previous stages will be here, plus 3 more jumps are given, freedom with a large amount is felt at once.
in stage 4 there is a wonderful screen, I had the last one, it is likely that everyone has it, because it is the most complex and contains all the features of the game that were before, but it is also the most creative, implements 3 jumps from an interesting side along with blocks, water grabs. In general, the game is definitely good with the most powerful first two stages and my favorite stage 4 screen

Amazing.
Precise needle that's creative and doesn't feel frustrating. Great visuals, atmosphere, and music.

Really cool 4 stage needle game. All of the gimmicks were very simple but interesting to play with. All of the needle is very satisfying to pull off as well. I don't really have any complaints about this one. Definitely recommend.
