Significantly easier than the original, but still fun to play. Probably the easiest Rukito game actually worth playing, so newer players will probably appreciate this. The worst save in the game in the Catharsis water area was much better here so I'm satisfied. Final boss still isn't great but it's actually skill-based unlike the original's.
If you want an idea of the relative difficulty compared to the original, the original game took me 1160 deaths and 1h50m, whereas this version took me 442 deaths and 0h44m.
I didn't find the item you need for the extra screen so idk what that's like.

Tweaked and easier version of matryoshka. It's for me a typical case of an easier version of a game that has balancing problems and that easier version solves that just by being easier. Even if the changes made some jumps less interesting, it was a better and smoother experience for me. It also get rid of all the bosses from og version which is a good things because they were honestly not very good, and it has a new final boss : an enjoyable destination one. He's pretty simple because he sadly has only one attack per color, and because the attack order isn't random (it will always go red -> blue -> yellow -> purple) so you can anticipate what's going next, which makes it not super interesting. The game has also an extra screen made by someone else, but you need to find a secret to access it and I didn't found it. (EDIT : thanks to dono indication and to ver 1.1 that allow you to go back to stages, I found it and it's a cool screen except for the platform jump under 2 minispikes that is really tight. It allow you to fight a buffed version of the boss that have dense attacks and the same problems than the og boss)
Worth giving a shot if you weren't a fan of the og version, and still a good game on it's own so just play it I guess.

One of the best Needle games that I've played for sure, I haven't played the original to know how this version compares but at the very least this is pretty exceptional.
Matryoshka is another one of those Rukito-likes that don't actually play much like one, instead, it takes some of the style and shows it in new light. I liked this because it meant most of the egregious parts are absent, though sadly the fun aspect of guessing the title's namesake is also gone too. The needle in this game is very good, and has both a high level of creativity with a little to no levels of annoyance (it still has one or two saves I'd call outliers, such as an upside-down vine jump). The boss at the end of the game is also pretty fun, though I wasn't too much a fan of the white phase. Also got to appreciate the usage of Carthasis water in this game, alongside blocks that move upon being landed on.
Overall if you like interesting needle, good Rukito-likes on the easier side, or just want a fun time then I'd recommend this for sure.

This tweaked version was easier and beatable for me compared to the other version. I enjoyed the needle and the bosses were fun to fight. The last boss felt like it was lacking. It could have been because the game was an easier version. Overall it was a satisfying game to playthrough and gave enough toughness to be challenging for less skilled players.
