I always doubt if calling I Wanna Maker a fangame, since it can perfectly be a whole other game. The amount of things you can do in it depends on your creativity, of course there are some limitations, but in that case you would probably want to use game maker or any other engine.
It's a great starter for people that want to make a platformer videogame or just want to make something related with iwb fangames without much complication.
One of the best tools/editors in the present in my humble opinion.

A pretty decent sequel to the original JK. It has basically every old Japanese adventure game staple in it so it's hard to believe this came out in 2020, and yet it did. The platforming is pretty straightforward and not super difficult and many stages reference classic NES/Famicom games. The bosses are likewise pretty simplistic and easy, although the final boss requires doing 2 fights in a row with no checkpoint. This may seem daunting at first, but both fights are easy enough to understand that it doesn't become too much of a hassle. Would recommend to fans of old-style adventures.
