honestly i fucking love this game and idk why. i really shouldnt, i have absolutely no nostalgia for this game or anything, but its just really fun needle wise and avoidance wise. visuals are really good and the music choices slap, kinda sad hard mode never came out.

As I finally beat this game after my third attempt at actually going through it, I found out it's just as unpleasant as I remember it being years ago. The style of needle in this game can only really be described as "claustrophobic", and I hope I never see it again as it actually feels bad to play, which is honestly hard for a needle game. Even generic 32px needle is pleasant compared to this. The only saves in the game I didn't find myself hating were a couple saves in stage 4, and maybe like the first gate in stage 1.
The bosses in this game are actually pretty alright however and are the highlights for me, most of them being pretty balanced avoidances that could be first tried without prior knowledge. The third one felt the best of them all and is by far the high point of the game, and the second one is the only one that isn't good by virtue of limited player space and just way too much brown.
Other notes about the production: Art is overall decent to good, most of the problems I had with it are with a lack of distinction sometimes between spikes and blocks (looking at you, stage 2) and it can look a little one-tone at times. I personally hate the music choices used throughout the game but that's a personal thing, so I'm not changing my rating for it. The death sound is however atrocious: it sounds like you just hit a button in some flash puzzle game or something. Other SFX were good.
It's my least favorite needle game of all time, but clearly this is not the opinion of the majority, so perhaps the reader of this review may end up enjoying the game. I'd say give it a shot, but if you reach the second stage and the needle isn't to your liking, then it's wiser to bail out.

morning dew is a hell of a ride that you will never be free from until you clear
there is nothing you can do, only realize that there is nothing else to do but the dew
having cleared this after all my other needle goals i have now realized that leaving this for last made me become one with the experience such that i realized that i had nothing else that i wanted to do
there was only bruh needle or dew
willingly, i chose dew
dew is a 34 stage game that gets progressively wackier as it continues with rarely any breaks, with some of the most wack gimmicks i have seen, starting with minesweeper, moving to CBT, rocket, mandatory align dependent cherries, hell itself, and the hardest ending save i have played in any fangame sans cn3
every single damn second i was coping with geo's antics
all of the jtool needle made me go in anticipation of what the next gimmick was and when it would be
dew was the game that led me to think that some ideas should stay as ideas, but yet as real things they work
dew was the game that made me complain about the maker as a person rather than the game itself
dew was the game that showed me that wacky gimmicks are insane
there is no feeling, only dew
