A very old adventure game that while it falters in a few places, does tend to hold up reasonably well today.
It feels heavily boshy influenced - though much shorter - in both platforming and boss style. Depending on your opinion of boshy this could be a good or bad thing, though I think it represents a bit of both.
The production is a little all over the place which works out in its favor, giving each stage a sense of identity and charm. The aesthetics are solid and while each stage isn't even recognizable from the last, they all offer their own style.
Platforming wise, its predominantly good. Like Boshy, its a bit of a wild ride. Save difficulty varies wildly from one to the next, but they tend to each offer something unique and interesting though with all the pattern/cycle segments to learn, there are a couple parts where it gets a bit sloppy.
Boss-wise, its a bit more of a mixed bag. Expect to do some mashing and hunt for damage optimization/quicker kill opportunities like you might find in boshy. One of the bosses is kind of a mess and the final boss feels a bit too long and learny with a lot of fast transitions and patterns like you see in older adventure games, though the individual parts are mostly interesting.
Overall, it definitely holds up. I wouldn't say its at the top of the pile (I'd recommend the sequel, Kill the Guy or 8-bit for a similar style over it) but if you're looking for more classic western style adventure games, its definitely worth it.

A short, fun stride through some platforming, and then a gradius boss. My only complaint is that it was too short.

Another really creative game from Necroneko. This has some of the crazy twists and turns that he pulled in Horizon except without being a level of difficulty that turns it from zany to raw obnoxious, and they're a lot more polished with experience now. The drawback, as is, is that there's a ton of mechanics that are not always fully explained, though you should be able to make your way through.
Cute art and a relentless wave of traps and misleads keeps it fresh, and nothing is really so hard that it should wall you. Definitely recommended.

Blocktroid is a nice and short adventure game. The platforming was nice with some some enemy killing mixed in. Unfortunately i wasnt a fan of some of the bosses. Specifically the second and the last boss (First phase.) The arena for the second boss was a bit too dark and the last boss lasted too long for how interesting the attacks were. The sound balance felt non existant, with some songs being way too low and some sfx being a bit too loud.
Besides that this is a good game.

This is a pretty good game for the most part.
It has a lot of good/interesting gimmicks. Not all of them are a hit but besides one they were great. The only one that i hated was the icy floor part, since it had a lot "standing at the edge of the block so you dont bonk" jumps. Especially one save gave me a lot of annoyance, since its full of them.
The bosses are all decent. They tend to have a lot of hp and iframes luckily most of those are in the boss rush. The final boss was enjoyable and didn't really have that problem fortunately.
While this game feels a bit dated. It still is pretty good.
