Not gonna lie that the horror theme almost made me bail immediately, but it turned out to be not too scary in the end. I got to enjoy the puzzle element of the game immediately, and while the needle was often punishing, it was at least forgiving enough that I was able to pull it off.
I would have appreciated more save points between parts of puzzles, as it was very frustrating when I knew how to solve each of the puzzles, but had to do them all over again after dying. I feel like if a game is going to be heavy on the puzzles, there shouldn't be an expectation to have to solve them all in one go. After you've solved a puzzle once, it becomes less fun to have to repeat it each subsequent time.
That said, I did enjoy all the different gimmicks. I got stuck at what I assume to be the final boss, which is an avoidance fight (and I suck at those.) I am unsure if I will be able to succeed on that boss as a result, but the game was otherwise very fun.

Link should point to version 1.4 now. Notes in the readme file. After attempting this game on Impossible, I discovered an instagib if you kill Boss #3 at the wrong time. I also took this opportunity to fix a handful of aesthetic issues.
[NOTE] On 2025/01/04, I mistakenly tried to enable WordPress on my AlterVista account and I completely erased all high score data. Luckily, I was able to revert my account to the old type, but all the data was still gone and I had to rebuild the databases from scratch. As a result, many old entries are no longer on the high score board, including at least one of my own. I had to populate some old records based on an old screenshot, so kudos if you're one of the lucky ones.

Scratch fangame, which may or may not contribute to why I don't like it more. The framerate is choppy compared to standalone fangames, and the collision detection is far less forgiving than one would expect. Thus, the myriad gate jumps and diagonals this game offers are far more frustrating.
Were it not for those particular details, I'd call this a decent beginner needle game.

Seems like a halfway decent needle game from someone presumably just starting out. And I say this as someone who usually despises needle games. The stages themselves are probably too long, but manageable.
Gimmicks get added after the first stage, which greatly undersells the game.
The needle difficulty ramps up A LOT in the middle, but still forgiving enough for a not-so-seasoned player like myself. The second boss was surprisingly much easier than the first boss, unless I was a dumbass and just assumed Reveal Spoileryou couldn't just shoot the cherry projectiles to get rid of them.
The main complaints I have with the game are the RNG attacks by the bosses, and the fact that there is only one track that plays throughout the entire game, but it's at least easy on the ears.

Very interesting puzzle game that makes you think about when and how to use your jump, double-jump, and even your left and right keys. Needle is mild; the puzzle aspect definitely dominates.

Annoying needle just to start a new game. Game freeze temporarily for some reason the first time the music loops. Pause dialog says "Puase". Music is one track that is about 30 seconds long and loops endlessly.
After a couple of rooms, however, new gimmicks start showing up, which actually make the game more decent. However, there are just too many traps and not enough saves in between, especially after the third or fourth room. I reached my breaking point there.

HOW IS IT IMPOSSIBLE?!
No, but seriously, this game holds a special place in my heart just due to its unique charm, for lack of better words. It was among the first to use my old engine, and employed resources from Zoop.
Of course, the game is full of glaring flaws, not the least of which is the lag due to the sheer number of objects in almost every room. There are plenty of invisible blocks, fake blocks, and traps so slow you'd have to be a sloth to not react fast enough. Occasionally there are enemies which may as well not be there, as they are a minor nuisance and all die in one hit anyway.
The bosses are all incredibly easy. With the exception of the Windows Error boss, it's almost impossible to lose to one. Just spam bullets until they die, at which point they'll go through a death animation that loops back around and freezes on the first frame before the instance gets destroyed. Defeating the Windows Error boss depends mainly on RNG luck, as it's possible for the boss to get locked in a spot too high to reach, and if you don't kill it in time, there will be too many bouncing projectiles to avoid.
The hardest part of this game is the miniboss in the last two worlds that takes a butt-ton of bullets and spams circle attacks.
And of course, the broken English dialog is a hoot.

I tried it. I know the creator has talent and generally good intentions. I found the traps to be heavily inconsistent and overnumerous. Doesn't help that the sound effects and music often give me conflicting messages, to say the least.
