Somewhat of a classic but honestly feels a lot older than it is. Its got a ton of charm and personality but despite that, the most memorable parts for me were the bad ones where it feels like it wastes a lot of the players time.
Production wise, there's definitely some ups and downs. It has restarting music (and restarting lag, which is upsetting in a fangame) as well as some weird camera/resize shenanigans which make it a bit annoying at times. There's definitely some cool parts as well, with the TTS voicing and weird segmenst and the extended intro.
Platforming wise, its trap heavy. For the most part its very easy but occasionally there's a wildly out of place segment that kind of hurts the flow. Additionally, there's some segments that while are interesting initially just end up being tedious because they're very long segments where the player just gets screwed (there's like a 10 screen save for instance where there was a tough cycle at the end that I messed up, which I thought was pretty meh until I got back and found it was due to highly varied random fruit speeds which went from meh to just plain stupid). Outside of that though, there's a number of good traps and interesting gimmicks scattered throughout which were fun, just unfortunately tainted by the fear of what could go wrong.
The tedium of these were easily outdone by the tedious boss segments. The quiz segment really stands out - not because its in Japanese and I couldn't read it, that I can live with, but the fact that it takes 1 second to answer a question and 10 seconds to stand there doing nothing between them makes the trial and error aspect tedious. Likewise, the spike segment was pretty much a drag throughout, either because they're bland, long or the trial and error aspects. Also as someone who tends to look away after boss kills, this can present a problem too since a number of them end in moving platform segments that will screw you over if you don't pay attention. The final avoidance was really fair and had a lot of good stuff - definitely enjoyed it more than I thought I would for a >4 min avoidance.
All in all, its got a lot of good parts but it had too many speedbumps to really feel like a fun, cohesive experience. I can't help but feel like there's better games of the style, but if you've exhausted those and want more then wanyaaaaaaaaa definitely still has lots to offer.
