Really fun metroidvania-like with great and unique gimmicks. Song selection and boss selection are also really great.

A very good easier adventure game with a lot of variety and minor progression elements. I'd say it peaks around the middle (factoring in true end, which is a major part of the content of the game and is probably what you should consider playing through if you decide to play the game).
Overall its great and definitely worth the play if you're looking for an adventure game to play. Production quality is very high throughout (even overdone in some places, though never problematically so) and the visuals and music fit the environments/events well. The story is a little campy, which is about what you'd expect out of a fangame and suits it well.
As for the gameplay, every stage has a distinct identity which is great, and there's a pretty wide variety of styles and ideas throughout. Likewise with the bosses, none of them feel all too similar to one another and are complex and challenging enough to be interesting to more experienced players while the abundant checkpoints and acquirable strategies keep it accessible to anyone. This is a bit where it falters a bit too though - the gameplay feels like it has an identity crisis sometimes - like he wanted to just fit in a bit of everything somewhere. This makes the later game feel a bit disjointed because its hard to determine what you're supposed to be doing, and occasionally you'll run into segments that feel wildly out of place and throw a wild changeup in the pace of the game. While the quality of the game remains very high throughout, it does feel like it never quite peaks due to the sudden shifts.
Either way, these are minor concerns at most, and I'd still absolutely recommend the game, especially to newer players as it shouldn't have any walls for the newer players and the game plays better at a more relaxed pace anyway.
