Current version: V1.2.09.07
This game is a rather long Adventure (or perhaps more accurately Needleventure) game using a variety of mostly standard gimmicks, with a couple of weird ones thrown in there. There is a story/narrative to the game, but you can opt to play without it if you so choose.
There are optional secrets, and obtaining them all unlocks some Extra content.
This project was a long time in the making, and I'm grateful to anyone that helped out or encouraged me along the way.
UPDATE: October 23rd: Made what I hope to be the final patch of the game - mostly minor fixes but also added some persistence to the Chapter 5a gimmick which should reduce some annoyance there.
UPDATE: September 27th: Some further changes made, mostly focused around the final boss.
UPDATE: September 20th: New update released with various balance changes. Details in included text file. Also fixed crashes introduced by patch
UPDATE: September 15th: Small update to fix some softlocks and an accidentally impossible route in 1 place. Larger balance fixes and overall adjustment coming later on.
...
UPDATE: September 7th 2024: Recent delfruit downtime made a long-standing bug clear where if this site goes down the game is unplayable, oops. That bug fix was the only intentional change in this release. It's honestly humbling that people are still playing this game to this day. Thank you!

Long and great Needleventure game
Up to Chapter 5b was an easy 10/10 for me. Unfortunately at that point in Chapter 5 I felt a stark decline in quality. Starting with a long maze that clearly over stayed its welcome and the boss being my least favorite in the game. Chapter 5c was alright mostly but I was left wondering where was the charm from before gone. Final Boss finally brought the game back to a high note for me.

Needle heavy adventure game that was a pretty mixed bag. There were some really fun stages, but also some less fun ones.
I really enjoyed the water stages, and the quarantine system stage. I wasn't the biggest fan of the factory stage and the final bosses, and for some reason there were like 5 final bosses.

Based on 100 % Clear. Insanely long adventure that kinda lasts too long i'd say. Game says there is 6 stages + extra, but in reality it's 20+ stages, cause every stage has sub-stage, which are pretty big on their own. I can't say i dislike long games, but i feel like some stages can be shorter without too much of production loss (like 5b as most notable example)
Stages itself are pretty fun with main focus on straight needle with some addition of superficial gimmicks, traps and puzzles. Some saves are gross and i didn't fan of last stage gimmick, but it's still decent. Bosses are mostly good, i'd say. They are mostly about some RNG, some of them are avoidances, and overall, they are quite nice. Last boss is very epic and atmospheric, best part of the main game
There's also secrets, which are nicely hidden and opens you path to extra. Secrets are kinda basic needle, nothing too interesting, but extra is way better. Extra contains of 2 fights, one of them is 5+ minute avoidance with good aestethics and mostly chill gameplay, even tho some instagibs are kinda brutal. Second fight is epic 10+ minute Destination-like battle against color crystals - probably best thing in the game, creative and fun all the way, can recommend enter extra for this, if you like this sort of stuff
In general solid game. Can be better in some places, but overall packing still bring me ton of enjoyment

This one was really hard to review, it's a pretty solid Needleventure game but it has a load of issues that overall made it unfun at the halfway mark or so.
Starting with the strengths, a lot of the good comes from the bosses throughout. Divine Fire is an Avoidance that ended up becoming one of my favorites in general, without the circle pattern attack it would be my singular favorite. Gilgamesh is also a pretty enjoyable fight that's very action-packed, the rush at the end was very exciting. Outside of these, sometimes the needle was somewhat enjoyable, this is mostly the first few stages since as the game gets harder they become less enjoyable. The game also has some neat aesthetics usually, the visuals are cool and the music is absolutely grand most of the time (we love Xenoblade in this house).
Now for the stuff I don't like, there's quite a bit. First of all, the needle becomes absolutely absurd as time goes on. It started mostly fine with some cool maneuvers but by Stage 5 it descends to being claustrophobic corridor needle that feels neither creative nor enjoyable to play. The secrets are the worst part of the game and are borderline bad Jtool screens, it's a shame how extra is locked behind them. Then there are the bad bosses, which is topped by the strength avoidance in chapter 5b. The very first attack is incredibly unbalanced and can send down horizontal lines on you all the time, the green lines attack is hard as hell to learn and everything else is super tedious as well; this boss was easily the worst part of the game and one of the worst avoidances I've played. The next boss afterward is pretty bad as well due to having an absurd amount of HP, a problem that'll be continued by the second phase of the final boss which also had balancing issues as well. Up until stage 5 started I thought the game was quite enjoyable but overall these factors just completely dragged it down for me. I'll also mention there's one screen in the spotlight puzzle stage that's really long and ends with an absurd choke jump, this was pretty terrible and should be nerfed.
Overall, I think I can only recommend stages 1-4 of the game, everything else felt unbalanced so I could not say it's worth playing outside of those. Divine Fire is still one of my favorite Avoidances though so be sure to make it there at least.
