the demo has been updated to add a collectathon element to the pre-existing levels
honestly, i think this has a lot of good potential to make a great game!
my only complaints with this demo now are that the visuals are quite unpolished (i recommend using assets from other games, like most fangames, or ones found on OpenGameArt) and the lack of save loading
additionally, i'd recommend adding gimmicks to later stages for more variety. and also i think you should work on the full release instead of updating the demo more

Now that i can play the game, i can see that it's just a simple needle game
it's alright but there are many unintentional skips and pointless alternate paths.
also when you get to the last warp it just loops back to the first level

very simple but enjoyable game with some basic water stuff. I suppose it serves as a decent beginner game, despite being somewhat confusing.

somewhat old game with some clever trap design. while they are good, they're somewhat predictable at times, which isn't a bad quality if the execution is good. later on in the game, one gimmick is introduced along with water. nothing else new really appears though.
keep in mind, everything is resemblant of its time so don't expect anything insane and new

strange but kinda memorable adventure game. there's some good ideas in here that should've perhaps been explored more, mostly in the form of the featured bosses. the green cherry is quite an interesting boss idea and works somewhat well. all of the bosses are surprisingly interesting and unique; even the final avoidance is unlike anything you've ever played.. that being a good thing or not
needle is weird admittedly, not much of it makes sense and feels a lot like one of those "you just gotta know"-type games. after all, the idea of the entire game is to escape from the *mysterious* house, not just any ordinary house. the green area platforming is hardly even platforming and feels like a joke. I have no idea what the big idea is

this game is quite an experience, and not a terrible one at that. pretty much every single design decision is so bafflingly unexplainable and downright bizarre that you will be left with nothing but confusion by the end of it. nothing seems to ever really make sense, and this game capitalizes on that fact perfectly - by simply compounding more and more nonsensical things on top of each other
I agree with the other reviewers who say this game is best enjoyed with some friends, as pretty much everyone can play it due to its low difficulty. this also means everyone can be equally confused observing this game's bizarre nature

not a bad game for its time, it might not hold up to today's standards but that doesn't mean the game is an atrocity by any means. it might be very instagibby with tons of annoying traps and weird stuff that doesn't make sense to play; however, the overall experience isn't the worst thing in the world. I found myself actually quite enjoying some of the bosses, despite their lack of any decent execution
graphics are a nightmare unfortunately, I hate how everything looks; especially when Ashimoto randomly throws in tiles from IWBTG

The signs provide detailed instructions, including how to operate the controls and tips for jumping, making the game thoughtfully designed to be accessible even for first-time players.
While there are skips and the difficulty slightly increases in the final stage, it might still feel dull for advanced players.
Even so, this game serves as good practice for beginners.
