I really should have listened to myself when I thought about playing this like a year ago! It's an awesome game, really showing Erik's level design chops. The platforming is fantastically done, with a wide variety of obstacles, and a gimmick heavy stage at the end that is frankly immaculate.
The game is really good at making fun long saves, while remaining at an accessible difficulty. The usage of big rooms is really well done, and each save has a good flow and is well balanced. The variety of enemies and obstacles are all used well, each feeling like it gets its time in the limelight.
The bosses are yet another highlight. They mix simple attacks with awesome arena changes to create really memorable fights. All the ways the arenas change or move are super cool, and something that made the bosses feel so much more unique.
Overall, phenomenal adventure game, an easy recommendation for all adventure fans. For those who are also into gimmick needle, this is a must play for the moon stage alone.

NUCLEAR PHYSICIST is a really interesting gimmick needle game. The highlight of the game is definitely the visuals, with strange colors and distortions that increase as you descend. This really creates the feeling of delving into an irradiated reactor, making the game feel super special atmospherically. The platforming is really fun, using gimmicks really well. There are a number of short dodging sections mixed in, which is something I love seeing in platforming. The longer saves towards the end are really cool, introducing some fun movements.
The game culminates with a neat boss, where half the battle is figuring out what everything means and what you need to do. In terms of gameplay it's good but not great, however the discovery aspect adds a lot. Ultimately, a good cap for the game.
Overall, an easy recommendation for fans of gimmick-needleventure, particularly those who like cool visuals.

Overall this game is a mixed bag of okay stages and bad ones. A lot of the platforming design is pretty dated and i don't think the gimmicks were used all that well. I liked the iconic dark purple stage, but even then i like the concept more then the execution. The final stage has some weird difficulty spikes and rough room design. The final boss is really questionable. It's probably one of the worst ive played, even cheesing it was annoying.

Simple but very enjoyable needle game, consisting of very simple gimmicks through relatively standard jumps, it's short and sweet, if you like needle you'll probably have fun.

Based on 100 % clear. Few highlights are definitely there (especially some stuff in stage 4), but in general kinda awkward and bosses are not that enjoyable. Extra stage is tbh not worth it, even tho secrets were kinda fun

Compared to the average easy 100f adventure like this, it's better than average, albeit still suffers from some issues a lot of games in this sub-genre have, namely a lot of floors being really boring and lacking substance. The bosses aren't too notable, the final one is alright though. There's a couple fun points towards the end but overall nothing special, if you NEED to play a 100f adventure, this is a decent choice.
