Honestly, if it wasn't for the ending avoidance, I'm not sure what I would have rated this game.

95% of the platforming simply consists of cycles, sometimes combined with a movement gimmick. Two of these movement gimmicks do nothing but make moving laborious for the entire time you are interacting with them. Seriously, the ice physics have to be felt to be believed.

None of the cycles in the game are mistimed, or badly mistimed at least, but seriously, see one room in Domu, you see them all. The platforming barely ever feels like it changes for the better. I think I only left the game liking 3 areas, the pillar piloting area, Form, and the forest. Both are, again, loaded with cycles, but the movement you interact with them at least isn't frustrating to bother with. Creep was also fun, since limiting you to one jump actually changed the platforming besides just resetting the save and immediately holding right.

The last avoidance was great, though. It feels more like interactive credits than it does a boss, in a good way. Tempted to do the alternate version of it at the end, aswell. Great showcase of what good visual presentation and fluid music timing can do to a pattern avoidance.

So, yeah. HEAVILY mixed bag, here. Wasn't a big fan, but I left on a positive note, thanks to the end.

An amazing game with a huge amount of gimmicks and variety. None of the gimmicks are something spectacular, but they make every stage unique and memorable.

The platforming itself feels a bit too much "needlish" for me at some points, and some of the saves felt slightly unbalanced, but overall I had a good time playing through this game.

The level desing is fresh with very polished tile-sets and backgrounds. The music is very atmospheric but most of the time not really my cup of tea, but thats personal.

The game branches into 3 different paths with 1 boss at the end of every path. Every boss felt good and weren't a roadblock trough the game.
After you beat the 3 paths you unlock the last one, including (obviously) the final boss.
The final boss itself is probably one of the most impressive things I've seen in a while and is totally worth playing through the rest of the game.

Definitly a recommendation !

I'm deeply dissapointed how this turned out. There is a lot of effort, a lot of good ideas, but also a lot of stuff i'm just regret picking this game up for. We'll start from the beginning.

1. WATER PUZZLE ROOM
Difficulty-wise it's much harder than everything up to this point. It takes a lot of time to set up, and a lot of precision to execute, so you'll have to start over pretty often if you're at medium skill level. It's just really tedious and boring. You could just make water fill more of the room, make dirt blocks accesible from the get-go, or made water replenish your double jump as emergency. Either way really annoying.

2. ICE PHYSICS
Yeah, yeah, it's obnoxious. Doing even relatively precise platforming with this is just pain in the ass. You should do a normal ice physics or none, you as a fangamer should have a clue about that.

3. WACKY BLOCKS ROOM
I honestly don't know why it's even there. Why someone even have to explain it?

4. TOWER
Putting gimmicks after halfway through is a bad idea. Why don't just made first half a gimmicks and second normal platforming? Because it won't be so tedious? Anyway that pissed me off very badly, first time i didn't feel any hype for tower.

5. AVOIDANCE
I dropped it here. Honestly i should have done that in part 1, because good parts doesn't make up for unexplainable rudiculosity going around this game. Up to save it's pretty fun, then it's just wents ResidentSleeper until actual attack 1:30 after the save. Want to point out stupidly high placed flipping platform, i hate that you can't just fulljump to shoot it ant it's really inconvinient and may cause you to die and rage and throw this game in a garbage (like i did *cough*), after that there is some hard attacks that completely doesn't worth grinding through because of boring platfroming before it.

So... I just doesn't realise why this is so unbearable at points. This game has a lot of really cool and fun stuff like stage before last boss and boss himself (not avoidance boss obviously), box pushing gimmick, and other water puzzle rooms were just great, but in the other hand... There is just this boringness which made me regret playing fangames again. And i don't realise why did he made the wrong step and it's dissapointing af. But maybe i'm just bad, maybe it's really fun if you going through it with no problems whatsoever? Don't think so. The thing is, good challenge never make you want to turn your face from it, and this does. I lost my thought, so would i recommend it? Def not. Good parts doesn't make up for bad ones. But i hope that in future i would never ever regret something for picking up, given how rarely i play fangames, this is can be possible, but until then, i'm just hoping people would learn something from this, make gimmicks right, platforming reasonable, and avoidances extinct (jk)(but seriously)

This game is really good, even tho at the beginning it's looks like a some trash with fancy graphics. Every stage really well made, and had it's own gimmick, which is used really nice too. Some traps were really unnecessary and annoying. Bosses here are pretty neat, and last avoidance is awesome. This game worth your time.
