No rating because I have no idea what to rate this game, however I'll say right now that I'd recommend it in a heartbeat, under certain very strict conditions. I'll also only be touching on the atmosphere and themes in this game very briefly, as I'm not good enough at interpreting them, much less formulating and articulating them into a cohesive review. I also acknowledge that by doing this, I'm leaving out the essence of the game and the reason it exists. Those themes may be uncomfortable to witness, and are not for the faint of heart - read the readme.

This game is a very short and abruptly cut wild ride through a few minigames with a smooth difficulty curve to them, most requiring a few attempts to learn and only a couple to pass after that point. Both the learning process and the execution were fun (although the final one could be a little bit unfair sometimes), and I would have liked to see the ideas presented expended upon in the future. The atmosphere is unsettling and dark from the get go, the game starting with a small cutscene that cements this fact with small bits and pieces of the theme reappearing later on. Those two strands of the game tie together for a very memorable and interesting if strange experience, which I would recommend having if you can handle it.

I think the design of the needle here is quite interesting to think about

despite being called a "hades-like" the first 3 screens don't really play much like the needle in hades-like games. Obviously a part of this is because this is much easier than hades-like games, not requiring aligns or cancels or any advanced fangame tech, but I think the more interesting thing that separates it is the design of the needle itself; most jumps here have a lot of interesting left/right movement and small stutters that give the game a feel much like his take-the-L games, but with longer and less precise saves. Almost every jump feels great to pull off because where it lacks in precision or difficulty it exceeds in interesting movement, even without the use of objects like vines or water.
Even more interesting to me however, are how the final 2 screens suddenly adopt a much more hades-like design and are, imo a noticeable downgrade from the first 3 screens. Many jumps suddenly become quite precise (at least, by comparison) and are notably more "linear", and by that I mean many do not involve a change in direction and if they do, its a small matter of wrapping around a spike. While it never devolves into generic or named jumps, it can be hard not to see these sections as merely nerfed versions of their commonly used counterparts (such as ledges or sphincters). I found myself restarting saves over and over because suddenly I was being asked to do certain jumps at a precise height or timing, rather than to do a complex set of movements with leniency. I don't even think the last 2 screens are particularly bad, but when placed next to the other screens (which they quite literally are, being in the same game and all) its clear which one is the winner to me.

I'm completely guessing here, but it feels as though dono made the first 3 screens purely naturally without thinking too hard if it fits a hades-like, and made the last 2 while looking over some hades-like games and taking notes from their design, focusing on the aesthetic of the design of hades-like games and nerfing them to be an appropriate difficulty. While for me that means the game as a whole isnt as good as it would be if it were entirely like the first 3 screens, I think the implications of this are quite good. That Dono has become so excellent in making needle that to more closely copy popular needle styles is a downgrade in comparison to what he makes naturally. While this isn't my favourite dono game or even in my top 3 of his, I think this game, moreso than any of this other solo games, is explicit proof of dono's excellence in needle design.

If I had to sum up this game in a few words, it would be : what a ride!

Qoqoqo 300 is the third game of the famous qoqoqo serie, expending the length and the complexity to another level never reach even by today games. The concept is simple, stage with 6 normal rooms then a 4-rooms maze and repeat. Each stage has a theme, it can be simple like vines, water, jump refs, etc, or a bit more complexe like the end game. Level design is just a blessing, sunlaoqq is a god when it comes to pathing and it can easily be seen in that wonderful and insanely creative gimmick that is the cube. And if it wasn't enough, after delivering you 100 floors + a bunch of cubes, the game ends with the most insane maze I even seen in a game. What people call maze are usually "false corridor needle", which is basically screens where you have to look for the right way but where it's hard to get lost because there is only one way you can easily spot if you play carefully. I'm gonna quote arzztt for that : "before I was making corridor needle. Now I make corridor needle disguised with pathing and everybody praize me". But this maze, this one isn't one of them. It's a true maze where the more you progress and the more you get lost. Don't make a map and you are likely to never reach the end. Here how my map looks at the end https://i.imgur.com/eB4MlPG.jpg.
If I had to point out something I disliked, I would say that the vine stage felt inferior to the others because of so many tight jumps, but that's honestly nitpicking compared to what the game can offer (also the very last save of the game is quite dumb because you have to do a diagonal with high speed and low gravity, which is much harder and dumb than what it sounds).

Clearly a must-play, I haven't played the normal version but this one isn't easy at all and like everyone said should be considered as normal mode and the other as hard mode. Would highly recommend.
